Beautiful place in a quiet area. About 10 minutes drive to Lake Titisee shopping area. Welcoming staff. Very helpful. Made sure we had an exceptional stay. Breakfast was delicious.

Stayed here twice on our round-hike through the Black Forest. Really good service, great breakfast and big evening meals. Plenty of seats outside for summer drinks. Comfortable rooms, good wifi connection. Recommended.

If you are looking for a great stay with your kids for touring the Black Forest, this is it! The room: My husband and I stayed on one floor, and my 3 kids stayed on the second floor. The room is very spacious and clean, with a balcony to an amazing view The stairs between the floors are safe and my kids (11, 8, and 6) really enjoyed their independence and privacy. The location: Perfect! 10 minutes up from Lake Titisee, beautiful and peaceful. The amenities: I have never stayed at a hotel that put so much thought into young travelers. My kids LOVED the garden, with trampolines and bunny rabbits, the game rooms (there are two of them, for younger and older kids), and everything about the hotel. The design: The attention to detail is very apparent. From chairs and bedding to pictures. The breakfast: A wide selection of fresh pastries, fruit, vegetables, cheese, sausages, eggs, cornflakes, yogurt, and anything your heart desires, served in the most beautiful dishes I've seen. The staff: The lovely family Stahl and their staff make this the best hotel in the area. Thank you Tom, Julia, and the rest of the hotel team for making this a remarkable stay for all of us. No doubt we will come back to this lovely hotel. Go ahead and book your stay early, as there are only 20 rooms...

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. Everything was perfect. We had a room on the ground floor. The location is fantastic and close to Titisee Lake ( 10 minutes by car). The rooms are spacious, well maintained, and clean, and the bathroom is large. Breakfast was excellent, diverse with good coffee. Free car parking. We will stay here again.

We are proud to support small, family-run hotels and have stayed at many, esp. throughout Switzerland and Germany. They are usually warm, friendly, responsive, considerate, and welcoming. However, this place is not like those others. My wife and I tried recently to book a few nights for our anniversary and her birthday. We tried for over a week, but the responses we got from the owner were simply cold and arrogant- that is, the replies he could be bothered to send as he ignored other messages. No alternative dates were offered, no nice, warm emails. Nothing. Very blunt. This venue is a victim of its own success. It has allowed good reviews to result in not caring about potential guests and, it seems, choosing who fits their idea of who they want staying there. In the end, the we gave up trying to book here. We have booked another family-run hotel, which is much more like such a place should be.

Wir waren mit unseren beiden Kids für eine Nacht dort, um in die Ravennaschlucht auf den Weihnachtsmarkt zu gehen. Das Familienzimmer war toll renoviert, das Bad modern. Das Frühstück war superlecker und reichhaltig. Kaffee und Kakao top. Wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder.

Haben hier schon das zweite Mal gebucht, weil wir hier die Hochschwarzwaldcard bekommen. Leckeres Frühstück inbegriffen! Die Wanderung zum Hochfirst wirklich schön! Ansonsten etwas ab vom Schuss und andere Aktivitäten nur mit dem Auto erreichbar.

Es war alles toll, aber am meisten aufgefallen ist die Freundlichkeit. Auch das Essen ist sehr gut, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Frau und Herr Stahl, waren von der Anreise bis zu Abreise sehr freundlich, so wie auch das komplette Personal. Herr Stahl, hat uns auf Anfrage, viele gute Tipps für Ausflüge vorgeschlagen. Er hat sich dafür echt Zeit genommen 👍. Das Zimmer war schön eingerichtet. Schöner Teppich, echt bequeme Betten, bei uns Badezimmer , mit zwei Waschbecken & Dusche. Zimmer mit Tablet, Flachbildfernseher & WLAN. Schöner Balkon mit guten Stühlen und Polster. Das Frühstücksbuffet sehr reichhaltig bestückt, Rührei, hart und weichgekochte Eier, mehrere Wurst,Salami, Weißwurst und Käsessorten. Marmelade, Honig, Nutella, Frischkäse, Tee , Kaffee, Kaba..........., ebenso die Brot / Brötchenauswahl sehr reichhaltig. Einfach für jeden etwas dabei. Wir haben Abends im Biergarten, der sehr schön ist, mit Palettenstühlen, Strandkorb und vielen Tischen gegessen. Waren sehr zufrieden, besonders gut haben und Pizza und Flammkuchen geschmeckt. Auch das andere Essen war lecker, die Speisekarte übersichtlich und für jeden etwas dabei. Im großen und ganzen, kann ich das Hotel Hochfirst nur weiter empfehlen.
