Very small room indeed, bed comfortable enough. Lack of any wardrobe space, lack of coat hangers(4 No provided) a TV that totally refused to work and was impossible to programme and a shower whose temperature was impossible to control as it was boiling hot! Other than that everything was perfect!

Be careful here - room prices vary massively day to day and site to site (even their own) varies whether breakfast included - seemingly not even available Mon/Tues - but they took the booking only to tell me that 2 days before arrival. Cancelled of course and disappointed not to try restaurant. Denial rather than apology - so wont be going there now!

What a lovely place! The tasting menu was absolutely magnificent and beautifully presented! Right in the centre of St Andrews so handy for everything. Just loved it. My only criticism was that our bedroom was very small. There was nowhere to put the bed cushions when retiring. Despite that I would still return.

Stayed in Master King room. Fabulous comfortable big bed and gorgeous bathroom. Toiletries from Laura Thomas to add to the luxury. We had the tasting menu and added Chefs lobster (Signature dish) and the Wagu beef. It would be easy to run out of superlatives going through this menu, it was sublime. Dean Banks team here are fabulous and we were so well taken care of. The culinary journey was explained from the snacks at Chefs Table through to dessert, I could have eaten a vat of the Tonka Bean ice cream. I have to mention the art work in the restaurant, it is beautuful and crefit goes to Isabele Banks. I loved everything about our stay here and we will certainly be back.

I've been on a 12 day trip all over Europe and this was hands down the best place I stayed. The service was impeccable, the breakfast delicious, the room was very comfortable and clean, and it was so convenient. If you're in St. Andrews, I highly recommend HAAR with rooms.

Great location. Great people. Food Excellent. No bar but restaurant. Dunvegans pub next door. Walking distance to old course, st andrews university and cathrdral.

Only stayed, didn’t dine in the restaurant which was rocking. The rooms are rather small and cluttered although the quality of linen, towels and toiletries was good. Security is a little odd with two keypads and there isn’t any lounge space / this is purely box rooms for rent. A super plus was the breakfast was excellent. Great position to wander down and watch them playing the 18th on the old course!
