オテル レ メザンジュ(Hotel les Mesanges)

This was our second stay in this hotel, our previous stay was exactly a year before. We returned because we enjoyed our previous stay so much and it's an ideal base for cycling up the Chamrousse. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The rooms are not huge but good enough and I think most, if not all have some form of balcony. There is a nice pool that we used on arrival and was a really bonus in the exceptionally hot weather. However, where we were disappointed was with the food. Last time it was gourmet standard, and practically silver service. This time it was unimaginative and basic. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing wrong with the food, it was just very ordinary. For starter we had a pea gazpacho with bacon chips, for main it was a chicken breast with roast new potatoes and spinach, the dessert was a vacherin. It wasn't food to excite and didn't justify the 43 euro cost. It didn't match our experience of a year before. The only saving grace was a decent bottle of wine.

We so enjoyed our time at Les Mesanges. Beautiful surroundings, quiet rooms and a beautiful pool. A great place to relax! We would definitely return for the proximity to the mountains and the helpful staff and beautiful setting

A big thank you to Manon at the reception who raised the level of welcome. The restaurant staff could be more pleasant and friendly. Especially Chilean "Jennifer" should learn manners or change professions.

What a truly wonderful place to stay and eat. I wish we had stayed longer to be able to use the swimming pool. The room we had wasn't overly large, but had everything we needed and an extremely large balcony which again had we stayed longer we would have used. The views from the terrace are spectacular towards the Vercors and the Chartreuse massif, so we took our breakfast here the morning we left. The staff are very welcoming and obviously take pride in their hotel: I believe it's a family run hotel.? If we are in the region again we will stay for longer, as there are both walks and cycle routes/ climbs around Chamrousse which is not far away. The food in the restaurant is excellent, but I will leave a separate review for that.

Excellent room for a family. Big garden for the kids to play in, large and good swimming pool. . Quality of food was good but the selection is French and a little limited. Service of the staff is also the best.

Accueil service gentillesse un vrai plaisir. Très bon repas belle présentation des assiette. Nous avions pris la formule escape amoureuse c est très bien. Nous avons été chouchouté que du bonheur. Je recommande cet etablissement

Calme, personnel très accueillant, chambre agréable avec balcon, hôtel à recommander... Il manque juste un équipement thé, tisane dans la chambre, et un choix un peu plus varié pour le petit déjeuner.

Avec 200 nuits/an en hôtels, j'ai souhaité faire part de ma triste expérience au patron de l'établissement : Une chambre vétuste, une restauration clairement en dessous du niveau attendu (et notamment un risotto-pâtes remplace par un gratin de coquillettes, petit déjeuner basic...). Le patron était à l'écoute mais je crains que ses arguments (fin de la saison, pge encore à rembourser...) ne suffisent pas à remonter les notes de cet établissement... J'espère toutefois une réaction de la direction car le cadre extérieur est agréable. Tellement dommage...
