ベル アイル シュル リール(Belle Isle Sur Risle)

Superbe hôtel dans un écrin de verdure. Belle piscine intérieure chauffée.  personnel, très sympathique et accueillant.  petite île au calme très bien aménagée. Parking gratuit avec borne de recharge pour véhicules électriques. 

Nous avons réservé pour pour une nuit avec dîner et petit déjeuner. Tout était parfait. Le lieu est très agréable et au calme. L'accueil et le service est très professionnel et convivial. Le dîner et le petit-déjeuner sont excellents. La chambre d'hôtel est spacieuse et charmante. Les piscines (en intérieur et extérieur) sont chauffées et très agréables. Ce fut un séjour merveilleux pour un excellent rapport qualité/prix. Nous reviendrons sans aucune hésitation.

Everything about this hotel is perfect. The staff is especially attentive , friendly , helpful and dedicated to meeting every possible need. The location is beautiful, peaceful and well situated for exploring Normandy. The facilities are top notch and the restaurant experience is exquisite. We highly recommend this slice of heaven in Normandy.

Beautiful property well kept, nice lake , excellent service( Michel he is a great asset to the property , excellent customer skills ), good food and wine, clean rooms, nice spa and swimming pools, rooms a bit outdated but it’s a chateau so it’s acceptable.

This was a return visit to the superb Hotel/Chateau a charming very French venue. We were met with a very warm welcome by the owners Marcelle, Tim , and Staff. Having checked in our room was excellent and were soon on our way to the first class facilities Indoor Pool/Jacuzzi/Sauna/Gym etc. Then to the delightful Restaurant in the evening for a fantastic meal and good quality wine’s. Next Morning breakfast was of high quality The Hotel being set on it’s own little Island makes it very private with large Gardens Ample parking also a wonderful Terrace perfect for dining in nice weather. A short walk into the Town or only a twenty minute drive to lovely Honfleur. We can highly recommend this Hotel and cannot wait to return. Thank you Clive Taylor.

We were unlucky with the weather but despite that enjoyed this hotel very much. The spa was nice. The food was amazing - the dinner in the evening was beyond compare. The staff were great especially the chap on reception. We had a wonderful time and imagine it would have been even better in nice weather. The rooms are a little dated but clean and comfortable

We were so looking forward to a 3 night stay at the mansion, including breakfast. The area was lovely and the surrounding so peaceful and so very French, which we loved. We had a room on the 4th floor which being over 21 was not an easy task carrying all our luggage ( no lift of course) The staff were very friendly and helpful. On a disappointing note , the room was very tired , it had staples holding some of the wall Paper up , the fan was broken and was taped together, the window was cracked in the bathroom and panels hanging off the bath, and generally could do with being looked after , which was a shame. Breakfast was fine, did not eat at the hotel , but the town was lovely and so were many surrounding villages . We enjoyed it but it could do with a little TLC.

I adored Belle Isle sur Risle. It is such a relaxing place, The staff were so welcoming and accommodating (with the exception of one or two members who were less than friendly, but they were easily outshone by the others who were exceptionally kind.) When we discovered that they were fully booked for massages, they went out of their way to hire a second masseur so we would not be disappointed. I have read some reviews which said the hotel was tired and in need of refurbishment, but this is an authentic French country house and so, whilst not pristine throughout, has all the charms which come with that and for me make it preferable to somewhere more corporate and less personal. We didn't get chance to eat in the restaurant but did have breakfast. As we only wanted coffee and a croissant, it worked out very expensive so we only went once, but there was a full array of cooked dishes, including dauphinoise potatoes and champagne on offer so that would justify the price. We stayed a week and found it was perfect to spend some days relaxing by the 2 pools, having our massages, canoeing on the river or using the bikes to go into Pont-Audemer (which is a really charming place with plenty of shops and places to eat). The location is wonderful for exploring Normandy and beyond so on other days we took off and saw the delights of Honfleur, Bayeux and Giverny, all with in really easy reach.
