Hôtel Bistrot le Marceau

This is a top notch Hotel & Restaurant. A small independently run place by a team that are so friendly and professional. Our room (104) was 1st floor and right at the front - great view - balcony and side window . Large high ceiling- great comfy bed and a perfect night’s sleep for both of us. The restaurant was busy and had a great atmosphere- both at lunchtime and evening meals. Quality food and drink at great prices. We will be returning for sure.

Hotel charming & staff excellent . Nice room with a very good shower. Bedding good quality. Tried to sleep with the shutters open but was kept awake at 2am with a very loud group of men congregating outside the house opposite , this noise continued for quite a long time . Obviously nothing to do with the hotel itself but made sleep very difficult as on shutting the windows the room was far too hot

Not our first visit and it certainly not our last. Every single member of staff is extremely welcoming and friendly as usual. Great hotel and restaurant. Would very highly recommend without any question.

My sister and I stayed at the hotel in April and had a fantastic time. We also had a couple dinners in the bistro and found both delicious! The owners are delightful and treated us like family. We will definitely stay there again if we return to Limoges in the future!

Very attractive old French hotel, nice change from a souless chain hotel. Warm welcome, beautiful building and dining room. The appearance from the outside was like a Parisian hotel, the view from the bedroom was magical with a tree lined street in full blossom. The decor was a little tired in places but the ambiance made up for it.

Very friendly and helpful hosts who made us most welcome. Comfortable room and good location. Would definitely recommend as a stopover, as we did, enroute France/England. The only pity is that we were there on a Sunday so couldn't sample the restaurant as it's closed that day! Will definitely stay again if in/passing through the area

We stayed here for one night, arrived and had problems with the car park machine opposite the hotel, they came over to help us sort it (the machine was broken). We had lunch, dinner and breakfast here as we had read the reviews and it didn't disappoint and was a good price. The hotel bedrooms are what you pay for and were comfortable and clean. It was really easy to get to from the Airport at Limoges and we had a great stay there. Thank you for all your help and assistance - from front desk to bar to restaurant and all the staff you could not have been more kind, helpful and made our stay wonderful.

Very characterful French hotel - much more interesting that the hotel chains! Staff were great and could not have been more helpful. Well located with plenty of interesting places to eat nearby in addition to the very nice restaurant at the hotel. We paid a little extra for a superior room which was a good size with space to sit.

A great little hotel in an excellent position. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large and well equipped. Very comfortable. Really good brassiere serving excellent well priced food. Try the gambas flamed with rum or the faux fillet Limousin steak.
