This is a decent hotel but starting to age. Cons first The outlet in our room for the refrigerator didn’t work so we had to move it to get it to work. And even then we think it might have shut off randomly. The TV was really small for the size of the room (hard to read the guide). They only offer breakfast for purchase, but the espresso machine doesn’t work and only saw continental items so if you wanted eggs or oatmeal, that wasn’t available. So basically you can buy a $3 drop coffee and a muffin for breakfast. Pros The staff was nice and responsive. They gave free cookies one night. Lots of good restaurants nearby.
We moved from one retirement cottage into a newer one, so we decided to spend the night before the move in a motel, to make the next morning easier. We chose the Hampton Inn is Salisbury and were glad we did. For the most part, the motel was very clean and looked like it was fairly new. Our room was large, and had 2 chairs in it, just like we like. We could each have a chair for a glass of wine at night and a snack. We were a little worried being in 514 and so close to the elevator, but we never heard it at night or the next morning. Probably the quietest motel we've been in, in a while. Either it was well insaulated or the guests were very quiet, thoughtful people. Breakfast was the usual Hampton fare, but everything was fresh and the hot food was actually hot. Plenty of seats, but then I was up earlier than usual. Staff was all very pleasant. Thanks Hampton- you helped to make our move more pleasant.
This was a very nicely renovated pet friendly hotel on the main road through Salisbury. It is quiet and clean and has all the amenities you need (refrigerator, microwave, ice machine, plenty of space). Great hot free breakfast and several restaurants nearby (about a mile north, must drive, not walk, given the neighborhood and the traffic). Hotels in the area were all booked and we came upon this under used oasis.
