This is the worst premier inn we have ever stayed in. We had originally booked South Milford in Salisbury but had a phone call the day before travelling to say that apparently, there had been a flood in the room we were due to stay in and we had no choice but to transfer to bishopdown which was extremely annoying as we had chosen the other hotel for location. On arrival the two young reception staff were sitting outside on the kerb talking and made no attempt to man the reception hence we, and others were kept waiting. Check in was unfriendly and unwelcoming. The hotel is very run down and in need of refurbishment. We were offered no upgrade nor compensation for the inconvenience of having to transfer. A very broken nights sleep due to other noisy guests at 2am right through to 4am. Premier inn apparently guarantee a good night so we waited in reception the following morning to complain. There were no staff available. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
A beautiful hotel, super comfortable beds, large room, amazing shower! The room was equipped with everything we needed. All the staff were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we had all we needed. The food was incredible and the drinks were reasonably priced. Perfect location- just a few minutes walk to the bars, shops and cathedral. We had a very luxurious stay & would love to visit again!
Was greeted by the most friendliest and helpful staff. The location was brilliant for the station and town. The room was decorated beautifully and was very clean. The towels were extra fluffy and the toiletries smelt fabulous! Everything that you needed was supplied in the room. The only unfortunate thing was that the parlour room was closed but we were given vouchers to have a plentiful breakfast at Hettie’s cafe - would definitely recommend
We held a birthday dinner for family and friends. The welcome was warm, the room was wonderfully decorated and sparked with celebration. The food was top notch.the staff were attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. A wonderful evening. I would thoroughly recommend the White Hart for your celebration.
Stayed for one night, rented out four rooms for a reasonable price considering the location and quality. Staff was extremely kind, food was amazing, rooms were very cute and maintained the original vibe of the older building while having very modern bathrooms. Everything was in working order and it seemed like every small detail was thought of. Our rooms had working tvs, fans, and comfortable bedding and the bathrooms had heated towel racks and shower toiletries. The stay was overall very enjoyable and I would definitely come again. :)
Enjoyable stay. Hotel is a lovely location and close to Salisbury. Comfortable stay and food was lovely. Have stayed a few times and will definitely stay in the future.

素晴らしい
We cannot fault this place at all. A wonderful experience. This is a small and friendly place to stay with personal service and attention from the owners Paula and Cyrille. It was beautifully and tastefully decorated for Christmas. The rooms were spacious; warm and spotlessly clean. The food was amazing! For dinner we had the mussels with frites; the sirloin beef and the lamb shank. All 3 dishes were tasty and generous in size - we cleared our plates! My sister and I shared the selection of mini desserts - 6 portions which were just the right size. My brother had a fabulous cheese board with a great chutney. The prices were very reasonable and the service was faultless. There is a small and cosy bar for before and after dinner drinks. After a good night's sleep in comfortable beds and peaceful surroundings we had the best cooked breakfast ever. We can't wait to return. Thank you so much.
A charming hotel/pub/restaurant. The staff were absolutely lovely and the food in the restaurant was great. Breakfast was also delicious. It was my birthday and I was given a glass of prosecco and a brownie with whipped cream and candles for dessert. A lovely touch. There is a nice big garden area, and they even provide blankets and hats in case you're cold. The common areas in the hotel are very comfortable with couches and armchairs and a log fire in one of the rooms. I am giving four stars because we had a great time but be aware that the room is more basic than the price suggests (£158 for the night for a twin room, ensuite): no fridge, no safe, no wardrobe, although hangers and hooks are provided to hang clothes. The beds are very comfortable with wonderfully soft and warm duvets and pillows. There was good quality tea and coffee making facilities in the room, and the toiletries were also good quality. On the whole, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.
This review is based on room 16. Overall it was an adequate B&B and we would go there again just ask for a different room. We had asked for a twin room and ours was described as ‘luxury twin’. The room itself was a decent size I would describe as shabby chic. The bed was a link 6ft one, not the type of twin we were expecting as there was no space between the beds and it was made up as a double. No bedside tables, instead a shelf too high up to reach in the night, tricky too with hot drinks which were provided. As a super king double it was comfortable with fresh white bed linen. Bathroom was modern and a good size with large walk in shower and good towels. The carpet in the bedroom has seen better days and I did not walk on it with bare feet. The room is on the ground floor at the front just inside the front door. You could hear the bell clearly, all the conversation in the tiny reception area and the front door was literally behind the bed head. Far from quiet. We were woken every time someone went in and out. A soft close mechanism might assist but you will still hear any talking and the bell. The staff were friendly and a room in the main house did seem preferable when reading the reviews about the annex. Parking is not on site but very close by. Breakfast was more than adequate for us. Hot and cold options were on offer. Coffee was fresh and for our taste perfect…not too bitter.
A stunning building in a beautiful surrounding hamlet . The staff were polite attentive and very helpful . The room was lovely , great attention to detail and quality products . The food was on another level and we will make sure we visit Youngs pubs/ rooms in the future . Thank You Matt Hylands
We booked for a long weekend and certainly chose the right hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us, the food was lovely, we had breakfast every day and it was spot on, we eat two evening meals including a Sunday lunch and again we could not fault the staff or the food. I have already been recommending this hotel to friends and family, rooms lovely and clean and full of character. The only very slight issue was our room was facing the road and over the bar, so it was a little noisy at times, but this didn't spoil what was a lovely stay.
Sublime stay - very quiet rooms with nice views, new amenities, accessible by bus to Salisbury, Amesbury, or to Stonehenge by bike or car, and helpful kind staff and service! First class feel for value price. The food is also good - Salisbury steak is available along with good local ale although we had the butternut squash sotd.
