This is the first visit in Livingston Hotel as a buisness traveller, although i felt the price was bit on a higher side considering its far off location from the airport and rest of the convenient areas, i would say its fine for a 1-night stay. More than a night i would probably won't stay if the rates to be over RM250++ for a standard unit.
We got this location on a cancellation by another hotel and couldn't have been more pleased. Our Junior Suite was spacious and comfortable. The buffet was excellent and dinner at the Chinese restaurant on 1st floor terrific. Not Halal certified (i.e.: Pork and liquor served here) we enjoyed the dim-sum brunch on Saturday. The evening entertainment left everyone happy with pictures to remember the performance. The owner is a fantastic host. Limited English programming on TV. A destination in itself.
Central in the main town, great base for day tours to the parks/sanctuary/River. Few options for food along the waterfront. Sandakan seems a quiet town with a few tourists but mainly local (v friendly) population, clearly a short stop/jump off spot. Options for 'drinks' are few - this is a no alcohol establishment, but there is a roof bar 3 mins walk for an evening beverage (the baling Hotel roof). Very clean..comfy bed, great aircon and hot shower. For the price the included breakfast had fresh fruits, to order omelets /eggs/ rice/ noodles and toast. No complaints!!!
匿匿名ユーザーThis is the sort of place where the staff will always greet you with ”hello, sir/ma'am” whenever they see you. Nice swimming pool and very good food at the restaurant, even though slightly pricy at first (I guess it's fine being a resort), the portions are actually huge and very fresh. Try their lemon chicken on rice for 20 ringgit (February 2024). All you can eat breakfast included for free even with the dorm bed: fried noodles, a very thick pancake, fruit, British breakfast, beef sausages, coffee, juice, etc. Walk-in price is 80RM, cheaper here on Trip. The dorm looks exactly the same as the one I staid in Kinabatangan, which is always funny (same contractor?). Comfortable night, with a new AC and fan, specially so considering I had it all to myself since the other few guests they had had private accommodation. Dorm showers have plenty of hot water and are clean, but there's no soap or amenities beyond the towel they give you at check-in. Bring your own. The staff at the restaurant sometimes disappears for no reason in the middle of service, even if there's about 20 of them considering réception is right there. They helped me book a taxi to the airport (50 ringgit), since there's no grab available (spent 1h looking for one). Don't bother trying to get one, ask them to call a taxi for you, really. This resort is about 1km away from the three main things to do at sepilok. You will be walking on the side of the road to get anywhere since transportation options are scarce and expensive. Overall this is standard of service here in Borneo, so don't settle for less than this.
MMuhammad Aliff Abdul RazakOne of the cheapest budget hotel in sandakan but with affordable price for backpackers.
This was my family trip with parents. So my parents got the reception floor room while i got the second floor with stairs only. No lift.
We had a truly magical family stay at Paganakan Dii. You really are staying in nature. We saw a hornbill bird while eating lunch, a monkey drop out of a tree above us as we walked up to the hotel, and the view from our balcony felt like we were living in the treetops. The room was functional and clean. The staff helpful and friendly. And the food tasty and plentiful. You are so close to the airport and sanctuaries, and the hotel organised our trip to the Kinabatangan River. Would highly recommend to get an authentic Borneo experience.

ゲゲストLocation is strategic but this hotel neglected the umph factor but stayable. Rest room needs to be upgraded. Overall the hotel is clean. Just 2 star hotel men. Towels are 5 star grade.
