Couldn’t think of a better resort to spend your family ski vacation ! The entertaining areas and play areas for the kids are amazing ! The people at the reception the most kind and helpful !the rooms taken cared with the most amazing interior and luxury! Spa areas for all taste, even a family spa room! Second year we are visiting the resort and definitely going there again !

Das Efelweiss in Großarl is an unparalleled experience. The hotel is perfect for children, and the luxurious atmosphere is impressive. The spa experience surpasses anything I've ever encountered. A true paradise for families seeking comfort and indulgence. Additionally, the inclusion of a luxurious nursery/preschool adds another layer of excellence for families with young ones. The hotel is located in a stunningly beautiful place. We really enjoyed the spa area and in particular the adults only infinity pool. It offers a great view especially in the evening and the steaming, warm water offers a great contrast to the snowy surroundings. The food was also excellent. Both for breakfast and dinner. Appropriate amount of choices, high quality ingredients and well prepared. I really think that it is a very good place to stay at, but I also want to give feedback about some negatives: - The staff is generally friendly on average, but let’s just say there are a few „bad apples“. No terrible experiences, just sometimes not as helpful as you might expect. Example: I wanted to get service in the cigar lounge. There is a button there that should call a staff member. We pushed it and waited. Nothing. Pushed again and waited. Nothing. We went to the reception and the lady told us that normally someone should come and she would call. We went back and waited again for 20 Minutes. Nobody ever came and we also did not hear from the lady at the reception again. Then we reported this to the concierge and she apologised and explained to us that the staff is probably busy and we should try asking at the bar. - The price point of the hotel and services offered is very „ambitious“. For me personally that would be acceptable if the service offered is exceptional. The pool opening times for example are not exceptional. They are only open to guests until 7 pm. After that you are only able to book it for private sessions - understandably at a pretty high rate . I would prefer it, if they offered access to the pools for guests longer. - We were not able to regulate the room‘s temperature in any way. It was quite hot in the room and we would have preferred a bit of a cooler temperature. I don’t know how the situation is in summer. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the hotel is certainly above average.

What an amazing treat!!!!!!!! It all started with the friendly staff, a big thank you to Saber, Miguel, Emily, Julia and the rest of team, the state of the art facilities, gorgeous and spacious bedrooms, the spa area, the kids play rooms, the slides, the swimming pools, the fitness room, the ski depot, the charming restaurants and the cosy lounge......The food doesn't let you down, so tasteful and so diverse, yummmmy. We spent an wonderful stay there and are already looking foreard to our next visit.

This resort has the best spa I’ve ever seen. With so many beautiful areas for relaxing. We spent 5 days there and barely left the hotel because the amenities are amazing! The breakfast and dinner included with the stay are far above average. The staff was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend.

Amazing hotel with excellent (or above) service. Friendly staff, comfortable and beautiful room, outstanding spa area on 5 levels and first class service in the restaurant. One of my best trave and holiday experience and definitely recommended. the view from the room/spa area is breathtaking.

An oasis of peace and luxury in a picturesque mountain village, Das Edelweiss is a beautiful hotel that is run superbly by the Hettegger family. Modern, sophisticated luxury with features like the indoor pool slides that I have never seen before in a luxury hotel. The spa, the gym, the infinity pool, the breakfast, the dinner, the sushi bar, and the lounge bar were all fantastic. We stayed for two weeks and just sitting on our room balcony and looking at the view never got old. We hiked in the mountains most days and you could walk out of the property and access an array of hikes all around, if we did use our car to get to a trailhead, the drive was 5 minutes. On a couple of occasions, we even borrowed hiking equipment from the hotel at no charge! The Grossarl town was a picture postcard Austrian mountain village with great coffee shops and small streets to wander down. An underground car park that was clean, secure, and free of charge! We went to the Salzburg beer festival on one day, a 15-minute drive to the start of the valley and an easy train ride into the center of Salzburg where we ended up in the Grossarl beer tent! Most of all it was the service which was outstanding. The most interesting thing for me was finding out that the family all worked in the hotel and by 'worked', I mean not in management jobs but as waitresses and electricians and behind the check-in desk. This hotel is run with skill and pride by a family that cares about you and the hotel, a most unusual experience in today's corporate world. A most welcoming, luxury mountain resort. Excellent resort with great facilities. Spa treatments are amazing, there are pools for everyone (5 pools - indoor, outdoor, adults, kids, slides...all you can ask for). Food is very good and location is excellent, right next to the gondola that give plenty of tracking options.

Luxurious resort, incredible, very exceptional treat, premium service, marvelous scenery, travelling distance from other touristic destinations is insignificant.....this is our second stay and we'll definitely come back again
