Loved the hotel, felt like an old colonial styled placed, great surroundings so green and fresh. Loved that they were very aware of the planet so had refillable water jugs instead of plastic bottles, same with toiletries...balcony view was overlooking the pool with a gorgeous backdrop...Will stay again

Great historical character snd lovely gardens, very good breakfast and dinner menu. One big disappointment which will be shared with every other English guest is the lack of a kettle, tea and milk in the rooms which really should be remedied.

Generally excellent hotel. Well maintained and service very polite and professional. Cleanliness great. Spa was wonderful though extra €20 per person. Good location in city centre.

Great hotel. Stunning building, great service and an amazing pool. Similarly great location: walkable from the city, buses close by for longer journeys and a beautiful park on the doorstep. Didn't get a chance to enjoy the facilities and restaurants, but the people in them looked very happy!

Nice hotel in Santa Cruz. Great breakfast. The room was nice and clean and overlooking the pool. Unfortunately, the service level was not as great as expected. Upon arrival, we were told there was a discount on the spa and a complimentary late checkout (due to our reward status). However, we had to remind the staff of this several times so that they did not charge us the full price.

A warm welcome after a 40 min drive from the airport. Room was a junior suite which was clean, spacious and look over a beautiful garden. Mini bar fully stocked and robe, slippers and creams were a delightful addition. Coffee machine in our room but the pods were not re stocked so was only able to use it our first night. We stayed 3 nights. Breakfast was full of healthy hearty selection and all delicious. Freshly squeezed orange juice hit the spot. Our evening meal was equally as nice with a good choice of menu. The bar area was our favourite. We originally had plans to go out, but feeling comfortable in such a pretty setting, served by the most friendly waiters, there was no need to venture out. The pool and pool bar area was tranquil and we enjoyed the peace and warm swim. Fully equipped gym looking out to the mountains made my morning run more enjoyable. The only gripe was we booked due to being a spa hotel, there is a spa but at additional cost. I didn’t recall reading this, so it came at a surprise. To be honest, we didn’t need the additional activity as we found relaxing and enjoying our peaceful surroundings in the late winter sun, was exactly what we required. We will most definitely return.
