Good hotel for one night stay during road trip. Complimentary coffee at the lobby

Booked this property online at the last minute while driving from Big Sur to Los Angeles. My husband and I become tired and decided to book a stop between destinations. Is was $179 for the night and it had decent reviews and the pictures of the room looked nice and we were only 30 minutes away so we booked it. Big mistake….as soon as we pulled into the parking lot we knew we had just been taken and that no way in hell we were even going to get out of the car. It is definitely a dump and while we were searching online for another nearby place to stay several homeless people were busy going through the establishments dumpster. We ate the $179 room fee and went and stayed down the road in the Radisson which was a clean and free from homeless people dumpster diving

This hotel had several people as permanent residents who were up all hours of the night. It was not quiet at all with the residents coming and going to work or working on their cars behind our room. The balcony of the second story is a hazard. The railing is falling off and the hotel has it propped up with wooden beams from the ground level. The room was old but worked for our quick trip. We also arrived in the late evening and the front desk staff was extremely rude and condescending. I don't think we'll stay there again.

The suittes are fantastic. I love the rooms! My only ask is that they turn up the heat a bit in the pool.

Overall my stay was great, front desk staff was friendly and informative, thanks Jacob! Room was clean, bed was very comfortable, only wish pool/hot tub hrs were longer, maybe till 10;00pm? Facility easy to find and close enough to highway, food, and other services.

First, I'd like to say my room was very clean, but I could hear the T.V. of the next room through the wall all night, so tossed and turned all night. The real issue I have is, although the room was clean, there was a huge water stain on the ceiling in the bathroom - absolutely no effort to prime and paint over, and instead of replacing a damaged piece of trim molding, they did the sloppiest job of filling it with wood filler and caulk. Further, one of the two chairs they had in the room was stained. Travelodge is a well known name in the hotel industry and it's a shame that this hotel owner goes the cheap route in repairs and replacement, which literally stains Travelodge's reputation. While the room was clean you feel gross looking around at the lack of aesthetic care of the room. Sad.

This was the worst stay I’ve ever had, service was bad. The room was gross, the shower was dirty and broken, tub was clogged and no hot water

This did not feel safe. People live there. People smoking. Their work boots and brooms, equipment was outside by all the doors.

Not much to complain about except that more care should be taken for repairs of rooms. Our bathroom door had a large badly done patch, extensive water damage in bathroom, and our towels were threadbare with holes in them.
