The steps. Oh, the steps!! The many steps down to the property are significant & remember you have to negotiate the climb back up to the entrance every time you wish to leave. If you have mobility issues of any kind, whatever your age, then this hotel is a huge challenge. There is no mention in the hotel description of what issues you may face upon arrival. This place is beautiful, just not for the faint hearted.

Terrible experience trying to reach the hotel and when I finally did reach them it was past the cancellation time and they charged me the full amount without any flexibility for being hospitalized with Covid.

Astarte suites is a beautiful hotel which is beautifully located with a nice view of Santorini. Every morning you get up and think you are living in a dream. The service is very well organized and they are ready for you any time of the day. The breakfast was really delicious and the set up was amazing. I highly recommended this beautiful hotel.

Do not stay at this property, what they say on the website is very misleading. They are in the middle of nowhere, they are not in walking distance of any place. The closest place to this property is at least 20 minutes Drive. On the website it said it’s closed Oia city but it’s not it’s about 40 to 45 minutes Drive. The Hotel is built on a cliffhanger and it’s so windy that you can’t get out of your room to enjoy the view and can’t even leave your door open. The property is so outdated and not clean there are bugs everywhere. The door to the rooms still uses an ACTUAL KEY with Key hole NOT Key Card. The Wi-Fi does not work and it keep saying no internet. Their TV didn’t work. Also we asked for a Do Not Disturb sign for our room and they didn’t have it. We asked them that while we are not there no one should enter our room but they did go to our room for even the short time that we were not there and my iPad is missing and got stolen.

I am currently staying at Astarte Suites. My complaints are few but significant. First the pros: 1- service is great, every employee is very kind and attentive. 2. The scenery and setting for the hotel is amazing. cons: 1. For being such a highly rated hotel, I expected something as simple as having wifi available at your suite would be a given. It is not a given, I have asked for the wifi to be fixed for 2 nights and 3 days now to no avail. In order to work, I have to take my laptop and go sit at the entrance to do work, which is where all the employees walk in from in the morning. So the point of this con is that there is no wifi on your room. So if you need to work and you're traveling you can't book here. 2. Entrance into the hotel is about 75 steps, get ready to work out going in and out. There is no alternative entrance. If you have joint or back problems, you can't book this place. 3. We ordered breakfast, and one thing that really bothered me was they put a selection of cereals on the menu, and I ordered coco puffs, and they came completely stale. As if the box was left open for 3 months, not eatable. Milk was warm when they have an option and we selected cold milk. I know it's not a big deal, but if you're going to charge such high prices for everything, at least live up to the expectations.

What a magical and beautiful place built into the hillside of southern Santorini. The staff were the most attentive ever and the site was beautiful in every way!

this property was above and beyond our expectations. The staff was very humble. They made sure we had a really nice trip Jenny Petros and anesthesia went above and beyond to make sure you had a good stay would definitely recommend.

Fabulous service, super clean and well maintained, very comfortable. Beautiful views and they make you feel special. Remote from most of the island which was what we wanted but be aware - need taxi/hire buggy to get around if you wish to.
