ハクナ マタタ ホステル(Hakuna Matata Hostel)

After a climb of a very stiff road (be careful, the hostel is located far up a hill, very difficult to access by foot if you have heavy bags) we arrived at night around 9pm, and had to wait for an hour for someone to come check us in without any sort of apology. The manager was rude and made us feel we were disturbing him. The whole building is quite run down, surrounded by by landfills and you get sewage smells in the garden most of the day. There was some disgusting smelly water with poo pieces comin out the shower and flowing into the room for two days in a row. The manager got super angry at all the guests in the room, blaming them for throwing toilet paper in the toilets instead of apologizing and trying to find a solution. He started screaming at one of the guest and almost hit him with a chair. The 6 guests in the room, completely shocked, ended up packing their stuff and moving to another hostel for the night. Worst hostel and staff I have ever seen in my life, and ive been to hostels around the world my whole life. Don't get fooled by the nice reviews below, this hostel is a nigh**are.

We recommend this hostel everyone, because it's realy perfect place for the rest: white, big and nice room with an amazing view on the city! Beny is a man with a big kind heart. He is doing all the best for his guests -tourists. We are very happy to stay here!!!
