It's a small but beautiful IHCL hotel just in front of Sasan Gir bhawan from where safari starts. Kathiawari thali is excellent. The staff is well-***nered and very good. The hotel property has been maintained well. The paintings on the wall are very beautiful

Gir Serai is very beautiful … the place has the vibes of a colonial hunting lodge with good luxury adding. The staff is very hospitable and extremely supportive. The restaurant serves delicious and well made food a luxurious surroundings. The cherry on the food experience is the amazing singing perfor***ce by Moumita and Apu. I would like to put a special mention for Moumita- very helpful and goes the extra mile to ensure the guest feel welcome and ensures quality service whether it is getting the safari jeeps or doing a beautiful perfor***ce in singing.

Thanks to everyone in the team at Taj, Gir for the amazing stay! We enjoyed the pool, the great food, the great location of the resort by the jungle. Thanks to the staff at the front desk for helping us board the safari jeeps right at the resort! Thank you!

Please remove the Taj tag from your property. Pros 1) Smiling and helpful momita Cons 1)Food is extremely tasteless, we took an all inclusive package where food came in parts for lunch after repeated requests of putting it on the table in the centre as we are a group of 14. Half lunch was over then chola/Dal came, we din't know what was on the menu, kept requesting them. We are compelled to eat 1 meal a day out due to the poor quality of food in the hotel. Unfriendly staff at the restaurant, unadjusting, frowny and rigid. 2) dated rooms, bathrooms, corridors and amenities. You expect better from a ihcl or even a gateway property. 3) spa was very very bad, masseuse had no idea what she was doing, surely not relaxing at all, infact the opposite. The oil, cream used were of poor quality. Not a place to recommend at all, people would come seeing the Taj tag but after that it's a disaster. Please work on up keeping the place, have more smiling staff around.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Great service, great food, nice spa and nice evening entertainment with Apu and Moumita. Keep up the good work! The rooms need renovation though. Food was great, vegetarian only but very tasty. Breakfast was also good! Thanks to the whole team!

The staff at the hotel reception were very courteous and helpful.The staff in the kitchen ,room maintenance were very polite and friendly.Overall it was a very pleasant stay.The hotel was closer to the safari booking point as well that you can reach by walking.

We had a very good stay at Gir Sarai. The staff members were very helpful and took care of all of our needs. Food was awesome! Special mention to Apu and Moumita. My family members really liked the singing perfor***ces by the talented staff members. Thank you!

A good perfect location in Gir. Somnath, Girnar at an hours drive from here. Our stay was comfortable and rooms perfect for our need. Food was okay, but taste may vary each day for the same ordered item. Some staff is good and represents the Tata brand effectively, however most of them needs training and needs to pick up their act. Our arrival was horrible with a delay of 2 hrs to get all our rooms. Stay was comfortable. It seemed that the location was understaffed and untrained as most experiences such as SPA, pool upkeep, gardens, cleanliness could have been better. For now, this property lists in the bottom 25% of all Tata properties we have visited.
