The hotel is great and is located perfectly in historic Savanna. Everything is within walking distance. If you like the sound of yapping dogs, then this is the hotel for you! We had the experience of yapping dogs next door to our room. The dogs barked during the day and night. After the third complaint to the hotel staff, the sound of barking yapping dogs ceased. The hotel staff said they would take care of it and it seems that they did. Keep your animals at home. There is no need to inconvenience others because of your selfishness. Dogs aren’t children. I’d rather hear the sound of children than yapping dogs. I will certainly find a hotel that doesn’t allow dogs on my next visit to Savannah. Breakfast at the hotel is not worth it. I recommend going to one of the local establishments. Overall, the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly.
I stayed here October 21-24. The entire staff from beginning to end was helpful and courteous. Front desk did an excellent job and very quick to have things set up. The room was gorgeous, overlooking the river and the city. All of the outlets had friendly staff, and the food and drinks were all good. Kayla and Lee were 2 of the management people I interacted with mostly. I met Frank on my last day and all were helpful. Staff wise I met so many, but had service by Kristina and Gina at the Broken Keel, and at Bootleggers I had Thomas, Mickey, and Robert. All did a great job. I also met Shiane and Jenn from the hotel. Very friendly place, great atmosphere, and lots to do. Also the parking attendants were friendly and informative. I look forward to my next trip.
TTammybbit123Stayed here upon arrival late at night for a quick Savannah vacation. Seemed to be the best option after reading reviews here. It was fine, the free shuttle easy to find, the front desk friendly and helpful, the breakfast appreciated. There is also a ”Suite Shack” with snacks that you can microwave in your room if you missed dinner like we did. The outdoor pool looked nice but we had not time the next morning. The room was warm so we ran the fan all night which was not particularly quiet, though not because of outside noise. Probably my only real complaint is that the sheets felt old and worn, and we could have used more pillows, but for how late we arrived (midnight), we weren't going to start making special requests. Hired a rideshare to move to downtown Savannah the next morning.
There is nothing about the stay that I could say was negative, and if I did, it would be only to nitpick. It’s centrally located, but tucked away so you don’t see too many people walking down the side street. It felt quaint. We walked in to a clean and good smelling lobby. We were greeted by a friendly host who was as easy to talk to as a long-lost cousin. We were discussing the weather (Hi Tropical Storm Debbie) and she offered us to use her own personal umbrella to walk to dinner. We interacted with a few other staff members who were also as friendly. Our room was a queen with a balcony. Sadly, because of the rain we couldn’t use the balcony. Neither my husband nor I sleep well in hotels, but that was not the case here. I found the bed to be firm with a softer top and the pillows comfortable. The room is typical sized with modern decor. The floors are laminate and not carpet (yay). The bathroom is a nice size and clean, really clean. The weather put a damper on our plans for the evening, so we’ll be back and we’ll definitely stay at Cambria
Stayed for four days…first room toilet didn’t work and maintenance came to fix but broke again so they had to move us to another room. Room was clean but hotel is somewhat tired. Breakfast was good with the gal that put stuff together was very nice. Probably won’t stay here again. We were supposed to stay again next week but moved our reservations to the Fairfield next door.
Llester tI had a fast trip and needed to get a hotel. Check in the the hotel. We went out grab some food.Come back, sit down and minutes into eating there was a roach. Killed it then in between the cable channel book was another roach. So the roach in the book I brought back to front desk. Absolutely nothing done. Next day sin used the rest room and sure I had to get a plunger at a hotel pure ridiculous. I would not refer this place to people. The upper management had days to communicate with me and Absolutely nothing. This management should be replaced from the top. This is poor management for a hotel that has potential. Zero stars from me.
DDuane BedgoodNice price & breakfast included. Friendly and professional staff. Clean parking lot and trash bins everywhere. The room was clean and smelled clean. The hot water was very hot and the furnace worked fine. 5 stars everywhere
