We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist Elly. Such a sweet girl. We had booked a premium room corner lot with a King size bed and a balcony. There are only 2 King size rooms at this hotel. The room was of decent size but so badly arranged. It had an open wardrobe with a table fixed to the wall (so could not move the table and a stool underneath, one nightstand near the wardrobe and none on the other side of the bed which had a very big chair (only for one person) and alas, the balcony was for standing only. No chair no table. Such a lousy arrangement of furniture. So my husband sat on the armchair and I either had the stool that fitted under the fixed table or the bed! I don't know who designed this but in my view it's pretty senseless. Why not put 2 chairs and a small table on the balcony so we can enjoy the view? How long can you stand outside? So ridiculous. Waste of time to even book these rooms, since they have a big terrace on each floor for everyone to enjoy. The bath towels are very new and soft and fluffy so it leaves some fluff on the skin and my husband has very sensitive skin. So we ask for another towel, not so new...they told us if we wanted an extra towel it was free...2 extra towels you had to pay RM5 per towel! We only wanted to exchange one. Then after the first night, because the pillow is not very comfortable, we asked for extra pillows. Same thing: one extra pillow: free...more than one you will be charged RM5 per pillow!!! Could not believe. so preposterous. We also noticed the hot water after a certain time at night was kind of lukewarm. The following day we wanted to take shower around 10am and the water was cold. We called and asked why and they told us the hot water had been switched off. So we made a big fuss about it and they came and switched it back on. This is absolutely ridiculous. No matter about the lay-out of the furniture but the fact that you have to pay for extra towel, extra pillow and that the hot water is on only at certain time, they should put it on their website to advise customers and to avoid such aggravations and frustrations. The room was very clean and all the staff at the hotel is very friendly. We came here to try their seafood restaurant and the restaurant was closed for renovation to be re-open around March next year (??). Again, why don't they put it on their website? The problem lies with the owner/management. I don't think we will ever go back to that hotel unless they change their policies. TIPS: Since I can't put my tip in the place below, I would advise you not to bother to book King size room (which is the most expensive). You can always enjoy the large terrace on each floor. Be careful about booking standard rooms, some have no windows...it's like being in a coffin.

The guy at the reception counter very helpful and productive. Whatever my complaints (dark hallway, empty hair and body gel's container etc) were settled by him. Totally satisfied with his manner and attitude. When he said he'll settle it then it was trully settled. Forgot to ask for his name but he was at the counter when I checked in around 3pm and he was still on duty when i came back from work aroind 10-11pm.
A bit far away from the city but near to pekan kuala selangor. suitable for people who wants to get away from city chaos. got near nice place to go as kopi sawah and roti canai pelangi. sekinchan also is just around the corner. Recommended for single travelers like me. place is safe and nice. clean but not that sound proof 🤣🤣
ゲゲストThey call this a “homestay,” which almost deterred me from staying here. It’s actually a pleasant hotel that just lacks a 24 hour front desk — I think it’s staffed during daylight hours — and relies on an electronic kiosk for check in and check out. There’s no cafe or restaurant, but there are food vending machines in the lobby and restaurants nearby. You’ll want to come with your own transportation. That said, we had a very pleasant stay there, and if you don’t require hotel services, you will too. The hotel is located in one of the many concrete, box-like structures that you’ll see in the padi fields around Sekinchan. These used to be commercial nesting houses for the swiftlets whose saliva nests are used to make birds’ nest soup. Normally the swiftlets nest in caves in remote areas, which makes harvesting the nests difficult. But if you have plenty of swiftlets and no caves, as in Sekinchan, you can build an artificial cave and have a business. I guess that business didn’t thrive, and many of these bird nest houses have been repurposed into alternative uses like this one. The hotel is constructed entirely of concrete (floors, walls, ceilings). The rooms are adequate in size with a huge window providing an excellent view over the rice fields. The rooms are immaculate; air conditioning is good; and a station providing filtered drinking water is available next to the elevator on each floor to refill your water bottles. The kiosk-based check in and check out works well, but is inflexible. If you want to extend your stay you still have to use the kiosk to check out on your original date of departure and check in again. Even though you’re paying for the next day, the kiosk still will charge you a significant penalty if you don’t complete the check out by 12 o’clock check out time. This is weird and inconvenient (and the front desk staff don’t tell you these details), but if you know the rule you can easily manage it. The limited front desk staff speak only Chinese, with the exception of one older lady who frequently isn’t there but is reachable by phone. The hotel has a few set ups in the back (swing, heart-shaped seat and staircase to nowhere) to help you get Instagram-worthy photos on the spot. These seemed to be very popular with young couples staying there. There are several casual restaurants nearby, including a good Vietnamese restaurant just a couple of blocks away, plus lots of Chinese restaurants. (The population of Sekinchan is 80% Chinese.) I came here to photograph the abundant kingfishers that nest in the banks of the irrigation canals running through the rice fields. Padi Sentral was perfect for my needs — comfortable room, perfect location, inexpensive).
