We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. The staff were all excellent - really helpful and friendly. A brilliant choice of food every night and morning - so much variety to cater to all tastes (I am vegetarian and still felt very well-provided for!) and so well made and presented. The spa was lovely, with a toasty hot sauna. Nice bar with excellent range of drinks. Rooms very clean and comfortable, excellent shower in bathroom. The ski hire shop on site was a dream, as was the easy to access locker room - it was all very easy and made the whole equipment management side of skiing so smooth and quick when it can be such a faff. And the ski in ski out location was brilliant (not sure why other reviewers are complaining about this - the piste is literally over the road!) The ease, comfort and friendliness of the whole experience made this a dream ski trip - highly recommended and thank you for a great week.

A very picturesque hotel with fantastic views of the mountains. We had a family room (2 adults and 2 children) which was a great size with a large walk in wardrobe big enough to store all of our clothes and ski wear. Only downside of the room was that it was directly beneath the resturant therefore quite loud when they were setting up/cleaning for the day (from 6am for breakfast and up to about 10pm after dinner). However, it wasn't too much of a problem, we were so tired after skiing it didn't disturb us too much. The rooms became very hot with the heating turned right up on arrival therefore we frequently had to open the doors to let fresh air in. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked with Crystal Ski, the ski instructors were fantastic and we're so kind to my son who was extremely nervous to start. The location is great, the first couple of days we used the shuttle to get to the skiing meeting points. After gaining some confidence on the slopes we were skiing to and from the hotel - relatively easy blue slopes there and back. We were apprehensive about the food from previous reviews however found it to be pretty good. I have a gluten allergy and they catered for me very well, asking me what I would like to eat on arrival to dinner every night and pointing out the dishes that were safe to eat. For breakfast i was given a variety of gluten free breads and snacks, along with option of eggs and bacon etc from the hot counter. The hot served food was tasty, however most of the buffet food was tepid. The chef kindly made pizzas for the kids too when they didn't fancy anything from the dinner choices. Overall, a lovely hotel, would definitely go back.

We stayed here pre covid and it was a lot better then than it is now. It all seems to have been dumbed down, very little is as good as it was before. There seems to have been no investment. Starting at the bottom, ski room looking tired, you now pay a small fee to use the spa, you have to book a time also. Reception is looking weary. Restaurant is now a buffet not a waiter service/proper 4 course menu, definitely not as good. Our room is fine, but dated and wearing out, several things don't work or are broken, eg TV, plug sockets, bath and basin plugs. I'm sure alot could be easily fixed but I can't be bothered to complain, it should be done without me asking. Room only averagely clean. Probably won't come here again.

A lovely hotel located just a few minutes walk from the ski lifts and nursery slope. The food was good and there was plenty to choose from. The desserts were amazing. The chefs made a fuss of our son which was a nice touch. The kids club was run by Marta who all the children loved, she was so lovely and played with the children and looked after them with such care. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel ran a shuttle bus into Sestriere which was really convenient. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The swimming pool and spa was lovely but should have been included in the price... this and the price of drinks at the bar were the only ******* for us. We had a great holiday and would definitely recommend the hotel.

The hotel itself (physically) is probably one of the best package holiday ski hotels - nice quiet location (BUT shuttle bus to town centre stops at 7pm, so a 10-15 min walk), ski in/out (if there's enough snow), the rooms are clean, and if you stay in a superior room you have a large walk in wardrobe, (but the standard rooms are short of storage, but no different to any other ski hotel we've stayed in), the bar area is good but the ski locker room is very cramped with an awful lot of lockers not locking/ no keys available or with the boot/ glove holders broken, so soggy boots & gloves in the morning. The biggest issue with this hotel is the restaurant - the FOOD IS TEPID, and SOMETIMES STILL FORZEN/ NOT PROPERLY COOKED. The buffet selection is huge, but even the dishes served by the chef from the hatch are tepid and doesn't even warm the plate it's handed to you on. We tried going to the restaurant as soon as it opened in the hope of getting a warm meal, but no. If you have any FOOD ALLERGY (my daughter has a severe nut allergy) then you are very restricted as there is NO LABELLING of any worth, but one of the chefs did try to advise but would still run over to say something was not suitable despite saying it was ok the night before! The buffet labels do not correspond to what is offered and the list of allergens is separate to the food labels, so no way of knowing what it refers to. You have no option but to pay for water for the table, the staff don't often bother clearing any plates and you're not allowed to use the tea/coffee machines at dinner and they're often not working properly at breakfast as only one member of staff bothered to refill the milk container. We complained to the Crystal rep (on the one occasion we did actually see her there) and she was quite dismissive of my comments and seemed surprised to hear that friends staying in one of the other Crystal hotels ( of the same hotel group) reported food poisoning/ bug sweeping their hotel. There is obviously no communication between the hotel management and Crystal. In resort Crystal themselves were appalling , but that's a whole other story!

Arrival at the hotel around 1.30pm and was via shuttle buses from the roundabout at the bottom of the road, following a coach transfer with Crystal ski. It was quick and easy. We were quickly allocated our room as it was ready and issued a ski locker for equipment. We were staying for the week and on a half board basis. Breakfast runs 7.30am to 10am and Dinner from 7.00pm to 8.30pm. ROOM We had a family room on the -1 floor. Great size for 3 of us. Bunk room for our child, huge living space-ace with sofas and tv and doors out onto a terrace, bathroom with w/c and a big spa bath,and then separate w/c as well, a dressing room for all clothes and finally a bid double bedroom with another set of doors. It was heated well and clean. Plenty of towels. There is a safe but it has a big key to carry around. The TV has a few English channels but takes a while to find them-we found BBC 1 and 2 and the Great movie, Great action and Great romance with some Kids channels. We left our room keys each days as they were cumbersome which was easy to pick up Would have benefitted from some windows that could have opened as we didn’t want to leave doors open overnight and we all woke up with stuffy noses. Also there was noise -the sound of dragging chairs and tables in the mornings from around 6 ish from the dining room above the room- seemed it was from the staff setting up and then the breakfast diners. DINING ROOM You are allocated a table for the duration of your stay, so no scrabbling for space regardless of the time you arrive to eat. We were in the main room and great view from the windows, but there seemed to be tables in smaller side rooms which looked dark and no windows- there were also some in the corridor by the lifts and stairs with dividers separating them from passing traffic. The food was a buffet style- Breakfast- loads of cereals , pastries, yoghurts and fruit- though bananas were in short supply on a few days. Then from the hatch you were served scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. The chef will also do omelettes and fried eggs but you have to ask. I only knew this as I saw do this - it isn’t advertised. There were various juices and water ( though the Italians seemed to favour fizzy water) but no orange juice- just a multi vitamin juice. There were two coffee machines which had queues. If you want tea there is a hot water urn and various teas at the end so don’t wait in the coffee queue. Dinner- At the hatches you have a starter station usually pastas and occasional soup. The second hatch was a main- usually a fish, meat and veg option. Then there are various veg options on a buffet, though they aren’t very hot. And there a big salad buffet with various meats and salad vegetables. Then there was a big dessert buffet with various desserts and fruit options which my husband, friends and son loved. BAR The bar is a lovely alpine decor with some huge booths great for large parties. Dotted with TVs around the bar showing sports . Good vari

I would definitely not rate this hotel as a 4 star , the food was cold even as it left the kitchen , the hotel manager was reheating plates food in a microwave. There were no labels saying what anything was or allergy information. I believe this is a must in the EU . The boot room lockers did not open we had to leave our boots and ski in reception luggage room . The room safe did not have a key ( although the staff did say we could leave our valuables in reception with them 🤔) The tv had no English Channels until the maintenance man retuned it . The bar was nice although a little pricey as we were captive as the shuttle bus finished at 7pm and it was a long walk to town. Overall our skiing was good but the we hotel was disappointing and crystal didn’t really want to know . When we booked the hotel we looked at their website and were u see the impression that the main meal was served , however with the take over by ABC this had changed to buffet style and they hadn’t got the facilities to keep the food hot or even warm .

The hotel was beautiful. Staff were friendly. Shuttle mini bus to take you to town and Pietro the friendly driver although he finishes at 7pm every night. Whilst the food was good it was served buffet style and although there was plenty the selection could have been more varied throughout the week.

Great location - ski in ski out, although a 10/15 min walk from the centre of Sestriere. The hotel provides a free shuttle service throughout the day - the driver was so friendly and helpful each time we used him. Whilst the bedrooms are clean and functional, we found ours really cramped and there is very little storage space (one small drawer and no hooks for hanging ski jackets etc). We were on the first floor and found the room quiet for a good nights sleep. The bar area was excellent and all bar staff incredibly friendly. A lovely location to meet up with friends after skiing or before/after dinner. As mentioned by many others, whilst there was a great choice of food, much of it was luke warm rather than hot, especially the vegetables. We tended to make sure we arrived as soon as the restaurant opened as food seemed to be left out all evening to get cold rather than regular replenishing with warm food. Hopefully having had so much feedback, they will find a way of keeping them warmer - there is so much to chose from they could easily reduce the options available to make room for more warming trays/smaller servicing dishes which can be replenished more often. That said, there was a great choice of hot and cold and we certainly didn’t go hungry. The spa area was lovely- you need to book in advance but numbers are limited so never too busy and if space available they will let you in immediately. The boot room was ideally situated just downstairs to the left of the hotel reception. It does get busy during peak periods but no different to any boot room anywhere. Overall, a good location and if the hotel could sort out the warmth of the food, I’d have given it 5 stars
