Excellent property for couples visiting this area. Well presented and maintained. Excellent buffet breakfast In general the property and its facilities could not be faulted. The complimentary tea coffee cake and after dinner port showed a fine attention to detail. Regrettably, and the only downside the owner lacked a warmth, empathy and interest in her guests at each touch point, on arrival, at breakfast and at departure ….. such a pity as she has an outstanding business which deserves to do well.

BOOK any spa treatments ahead of time as they don’t prioritise the in-house guest. Make sure u choose a secluded room (maybe upstairs) so you don’t hear noisy neighbors early in the morning ruining the “relax” part. If u like a cooked breakfast this is not the place for you.

An exceptional place to stay to relax, explore and enjoy. The massages were incredible and the hospitality was above and beyond. Would come back again and again. The rooms were outstanding and clean and the beds super comfortable, with everything you need

Absolutely beautiful. View from the room was gorgeous, comfy bed, massive spa bath, fabulous gardens and beautiful decor. Day spa massage was worth every cent. Breakfast restaurant and room was so beautiful. 100% recommend.

We’re sadly leaving Chimes today after the most restorative stay. The new owner Jeanne has created a luxurious and stylish, but homely small resort. The weather had taken a downturn as we arrived in Denmark and we were greeted with a welcoming fire in the communal lounge and dining area. The view over farmland to the inlet from both our room, the bath tub and the dining room was magical. We were pampered with delightful iKou spa toiletries and treated to delicious breakfasts including house made Bircher and fruit bread. I had been unwell before arriving and we decided to stay an extra night here to recover. It certainly helped. I must also mention the kindness of staff member Erin who is a kind and welcoming ray of sunshine. Highly recommended!

I can’t rate this place highly enough. Just had the most fantastic 2 days celebrating Mums 80th with my 2 sisters . Everything was perfection. The breakfast was exceptional . Best muesli Eva. The 2 hr massage was to die for and then we tipped it off with a 90 minute facial.

It’s really not easy to find accommodations offering a luxurious and soothing aspect at the same time. A real haven of peace. Jeanne has recently renovated everything and we can clearly say that she has taste! The place is very pleasant, surrounded by nature, birds and the ocean. I had the pleasure of staying in the “Sanctuary” suite with a private balcony, a luxurious double spa bath, and a kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator. Not to mention the magnificent ocean view. What's more, the sun rises almost in front of us, which offers an incredible spectacle for early birds! + located Just 15 minutes from one of the best known and most loved spots. Elephants Rocks & Greens Pool! Isn't it amazing ? The recently opened spa is absolutely perfect. Sauna, hammam, cold bath, Vichy shower, luxury products. I really loved my relaxation moment as well as my massage with essential oils. One of the best I've had (and I get a massage absolutely in every country I visit haha). It’s possible to have your vehicle recharged, to bask in their swimming pool or even stroll through their magnificent gardens. There is always tea, coffee, fruit and small delicacies available. Regarding the food, the breakfast is amazing, it’s included with your room. Granola, yogurt, pastries, apple and orange juice, fresh fruit, breads, various jams, etc. And for those who are rather salty (like me) it’s quite possible to order eggs Benedict, fried eggs, etc at an affordable price. For the evening, the Chimes Spa Retreat offers you their delicious platters (chicken, vegetables, seasonal dip, brie cheese, assortments of nuts, etc…) They also have a vegetarian platters and Gluten-free options available. And for those who like to play, there is even a billiards, checkers, board games, books and a huge chessboard outside! I really loved my staycation !

Absolutely love staying here, it really is a piece of heaven. The view looking at the mountains and water is just heavenly. The hotel itself is magnificent, so clean and tidy. The bath is lovely, we loved having a bath with a view. The beds are so comfortable. The reception staff are friendly. To top it off, the Port they put out at 5pm everyday is just delicious. It’s definitely good quality Port. Would highly recommend staying here.
