family friendly hotel, very well equipped, beautiful views, swimming pool with nice surroundings!

This place came highly recommended by a tour guide as we have the view of the mountain in the midst of the clouds. The drive up to the accommodation is not for the faint hearted. The driver told us even chinese drivers from other provinces will struggle. The place is gorgeous and view even from the bathroom is indeed breathtaking. There is a farm that they rear their own chickens, fish and even a few peacocks. The pool was also lovely.if we had come in summer. For a hotel which wants to pitch itself against the luxurious villas, it provides really basic toiletries, Head & Shoulders shampoo and some other obscure shower gel. And the service from the lady during check-in was basic. They didn't even bother informing us about the time of naxi bonfire and dance and we missed it. Even breakfast was average. The only saving grace from this are the cute little girl, the boss and the male staff. In my opinion, it slhas the potential to be a destination hotel if it evens out the service and amenities offerings.

This is such an amazing guesthouse (critical word being “guesthouse” NOT hotel - just to make sure people manage their expectations). You’re basically here for the views which are immense, but the food and service were excellent. English wasn’t great but they are so eager to help it wasn’t an issue. They actually picked up our luggage from a halfway point between Lijiang and Yachajiao which was so helpful. We stayed in a Mountain View bedroom with porch swing (and humorously a bath on the porch). The views were epic and we spent a lovely evening just watching the view. The food was excellent and very fresh (we saw the poor chicken prior to our order). The room had heated floors and a heating air conditioner as well as extra blankets. The shower was piping hot. All in all a fantastic stopping point on the tiger leaping gorge hike. The only issue and criticism I have is they have been too flash with the Japanese style toilets. As the bathroom and bedroom don’t have a door in between, the automatic lid up/down was noisy in the night. I’m sure there must be a way to stop this but we didn’t figure it out. However I would highly recommend this place and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Travellers from Aus here! This accomodation is such a hidden gem, everything is as pictured! Located a 10 min car ascent from the main road, it’s a perfect balance of rural and a tourist destination. We had some trouble finding the property at night with our Didi but by sending a picture of our location, they were able to locate us quickly. I’d recommend arriving during the daytime to avoid any confusion. We stayed in the single Villa which is a 10 minute walk away to the main reception/ restaurant/ other guest houses. Warning that this will be uphill but if you walk at an easy pace, you will be fine. You can also contact them 10 min in advance and they can drive you to the main area if needed. Everything is as pictured; super clean and well stocked with enough drinks 😆 (they gave us about 5 cases of water + soft drink for 3 nights)! There are 2 bathrooms one upstairs and one downstairs and both which are well stocked with necessities. They also have heated carpet upstairs and heating / AC both upstairs and downstairs. The balcony - which has a swinging seat and outdoor bathtub - has an uninterrupted view of the Yulong snow mountain. The staff here are so lovely and caring! Everyone seemed like they genuinely enjoyed working here 🥹. They are even willing to go above and beyond to help you - despite a slight language barrier. Communication is also done through WeChat group chat with all the staff members which is very efficient. The property also grows most? of its produce so everything is fresh and organic. We saw some chickens, corn fields etc. The breakfast served daily is seen in the picture below - super healthy and organic. You can also access the famous Tiger Leaping Gorge trail from the property - 5 minute walk up some stairs behind the property + through some other hotels / guest houses. So for anyone planning to complete / see the trail, this is a great destination! If you are to stay here, we would recommend bringing some snacks as the accomodation is quite isolated (the closest supermarket is a 20min car ride away - which we asked them to take us to).

Highly recommend this stay at Yachajiao Manor! The room views are amazing and the room stay was very comfortable. There are nice hikes nearby and it’s a really pretty compound with the restaurant and pool. The best part is the boss (Yang Wen Kun) /caretaker of the lodge he has the best service and looks out for us making sure our needs are covered. All the arrangement and transport were very smooth and done via Wechat. The whole team were also very kind and friendly.

Very nice experience in the hotel, great location and super helpful staff

The hotel and services exceeded our expectations. The communication with the hotel staff was clear and timely. Our host was very friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. He picked us up from the Tiger leaping scenic area when we arrived. The following day We hiked the high trail to Tina’s guesthouse, and he very kindly picked us up from there and dropped us off  at the bus stop back to Lijiang. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel, and the food was very fresh and tasty.  Room for our family was superb, with large windows and sweeping views on the mountains. It was clean, well decorated and comfortable. There was even floor heating. Bathroom was huge. Overall an unforgettable experience for the family . Thanks so much

Great rooms, highest standards. Delicious dinner and great service . Very helpful and friendly that help with all we needed, including private transportation . I have stayed here before and will come back again in the future
