I had a wonderful stay at Number 29 and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. I didn't want to leave! The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with lots of thoughtful extras which made it feel special. There was homemade (and delicious) lemon drizzle cake, freshly ground coffee, and fresh milk in the room when I arrived, and the tea/coffee supplies were replenished daily. The B&B has a calm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and there was so much choice, and lots of options for vegetarians too. I went to bed each evening looking forward to my breakfast in the morning! Chris is an incredible and attentive host and went above and beyond. She was happy to recommend places to visit and things to do across the island, and restaurants where I could find good vegetarian food. She gave me tips on where to see red squirrels and other good spots for wildlife. She even gave me her own binoculars to borrow for the week when I realised I had forgotten to pack mine - best host ever! The location is fantastic, particularly if you are travelling without a car - it's a stone's throw from Shanklin station and various bus routes, and close to a number of walking trails too. I had no issues at all getting there or getting around the island. It's also well located within Shanklin, being a short walk from restaurants, cafés, shops etc. There isn't a single negative I can think of! Even those smaller details which can sometimes cause inconvenience had been considered - there was enough storage for clothes, good water pressure, good wifi connection... Everything was great. Thank you so much for making my stay so wonderful - I'll definitely be back!

A perfect stay as always at Number 29. An excellent breakfast and extremely comfortable room. Lots of places to eat and great days out at Carisbrooke Castle and Osborne House. Great shopping experience at Oasis where there is something for everyone !

We visited 29 in October half-term. We cannot fault the homely and welcoming feel from the place and owner! The room was outstanding and the bed was the comfiest bed we have slept in. The breakfast was lovely with a range of choices each day! Will 100% be returning & recommend to anyone visiting the Island!

Tastefully modernised traditional bed and breakfast. Chris was a great host. Bed comfortable and we enjoyed excellent nights sleep. Locally sourced breakfast. Well cooked and very flavoursome.

Conveniently situated for buses, Island Train and a reasonable selection of restaurants. Takes less than 10 minutes to walk down to the sea front. Chris and Luke have created a special place. The bedroom was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. An unusual and excellent feature is that although you are asked for your breakfast choice the evening before the hot dishes are not cooked until immediately before you are ready. There is a good selection of fruit, cereals and yoghurts. Chris was happy to chat and make suggestions. All in all a very relaxing time for us.

We stayed in Room 1 which has a lovely sea view. Breakfast was exceptionally good with plenty of choices. The room has lots of extra features such as a real coffee and lemon drizzle cake. The bedding and towels were great quality. Christine was charming and very helpful with local information. The property is about 15 mins from the sea front and about 10 minutes to the old village which has lots of food choices.

Wonderful experience staying here 2 nights. Chris was extremely welcoming and kind, really good hospitality here made for a relaxing weekend away. This was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, everyting was spotlessly clean and the attention to detail really elevated the experience - everything from nice decorations to the welcome snack was perfect. There is an extensive breakfast menu and it was absolutely delicious - they were also very accommodating, cooking my food slightly earlier than the usual breakfast time to allow for my tour schedule. Simply terrific place to stay. I don't normally review accommodation on tripadvisor as I'm not super picky about where I stay, I'm writing this review because this place really was something special. 10/10 would stay again.

No 29 is very well situated in Shanklin with both the train and bus station within a 5 min walk. Our room was exceptionally clean with a very comfortable bed. Tea and coffee making making facilities were provided along with a lovely slice of cake upon arrival. Our room also contained a small fridge containing a cold bottle of water (which was very welcome during the very warm weather of early September). The pre - ordered breakfast is of very high standard and cooked fresh. Will definitely book again when returning to the island.
