Nice historical hotel located in the centre of Scalloway. Rooms are small, and a bit noisy between floors. They provide ear plugs and it wasn't an issue. Our room could have been cleaner ... needed a good vacuum. Great service and food from the restaurant and the staff were friendly. Enjoyed our stay.

Very good, almost excellent. Good location, and high quality bedroom, comfortable- good space and it all worked. Very friendly staff and helpful. Menu slightly prexdictable - but good helpings and freshly cooked. I left something behind and the follow up was great. If you're staying in Scalloway I recommend highly. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I did not stay here but I visited the bar a couple of times whilst staying in Scalloway. The bar area is simple but nice. Plenty seating, sea views, serves food. Plenty people were enjoying meals. Probably one of the best options locally. I’d go back.

Superb food, hospitality, environment, first class. Nothing too much bother , best place to go in Shetland. You wouldn't want for anything else. Hopefully there is a room available my next stay👌

Room we had was beautifully updated. Great views of sea. Was a very busy evening in hotel (fire festival night hence Viking visitor in bar photo) but staff proactively had reserved a table for us for dinner. Looking at previous comment re breakfast. We were offered choice of cereal, toast, long life croissant fruit juice and yoghurt plus they have a self service bean to cup coffee machine as well as filter coffee and tea. Cooked breakfast was optional extra. For an hotel in a small town in Shetland this is very impressive.

A quiet, clean hotel on the waterfront in Scalloway. The staff were pleasant and attentive, and answered our questions about the area. The hotel has a good restaurant on prem, with a good, varied menu. There is a convenience store a few steps away that carries various food and drink, as well. No downsides to staying here. I recommend it.

peter the chef was arrogant and is generally vile, food was rotten, staff are rude wouldnt bother going near the place could find somewhere else with better value for money no staff around most of the time either

Over priced under delivered. Very very noisy. Breakfast was classed as continental but no pastries just cereal and bread, you could pay for a cooked but our experience was shocking no staff around to take food order so left hungry. One positive is nice view if you get a room with a sea view
