Re Federico Boutique hotel is located in a narrow street (just room for a car) at the southern end of Ortigia Island which is connected to the mainland by two bridges. This puts it close to the old town and the beautiful central square but a bus or taxi ride to the Archaeological Park. The hotel is in a building which has been very nicely renovated to provide good sized rooms with comfortable beds. A great base for exploring Syracuse. Recommend taking a boat tour round the island and to the nearby caves.

Absolutely loved this place. We stayed for 4 nights in room 5 which is huge - full kitchenette, living area, bedroom, bathroom and private terrace with table, chairs and loungers. The terrace gets the sun till late in the afternoon and has great views. Everything in the apar**ent (definitely an apar**ent and not just a room) seemed very new and clean, and the building itself is on a quiet street and very secure. The bed was ridiculously comfortable. Breakfast is pre ordered the night before and brought to your room - there was a really good selection and everything was very fresh. The staff were lovely especially on our arrival when the receptionist helped us bring our luggage from the car and organised the valet driver to pick it up. There is no parking included but the valet will collect and bring back your car for €20 a day; only 30mins notice is required. Everything on Ortigia island is very walkable so location is ideal. Highly recommend staying here!

The location of the hotel is excellent with regard to walking distance to shopping, beach visits, dining and sight seeing. The room was very accommodating, comfortably cool, and very clean. They provide toiletries, several linens for showering and have a very friendly and polite staff. There was also a sage but we did not use it. In addition to our surprise there was a small and fully furnished kitchenette. Great stay and we’ll definitely return.

As two students excitedly looking forward to exploring Italy and Greece, our travel plans have been severely disrupted by the recent natural disasters, leading to the cancellation of all flights. We have been in touch with the various hotels we booked, and we are grateful that every hotel has been understanding and issued a refund—except for the Re Federici Boutique Hotel. Despite multiple attempts to reach out, the hotel has shown no interest whatsoever in our situation. The only resolution they offered was a voucher, which unfortunately does not meet our needs at all. We wish to clarify that this voucher is of no use to us, as our travel plans have been indefinitely postponed due to the flight cancellations. We had sincerely hoped for a more compassionate response, especially considering the unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances we are facing. It is disheartening to encounter such a lack of understanding and empathy from the Re Federici Boutique Hotel. As students, this trip held immense significance for us, and we are now left in a difficult situation with financial losses and dashed hopes. We are left with no option but to insist on a refund, which we believe is a fair and reasonable request given the circumstances.

We picked the place as the selection of 'normal' premium hotels in Ortigia (Siracusa) is limited. This is clearly a beautifully refurbished building, furnished with designer pieces and promising a bit of a boutique hotel experience. However two issues: 1) they saved on linen - the cheapest duvets, pillows and even towels - tragic but easy to fix and, 2) no soundproofing - harder to fix though it may have to do with the selection of guests. So, unfortunately, would not recommend - at least not in absolute terms (i.e. other places in Ortigia may be worse)

This small hotel was very welcoming. It had a free breakfast delivered to the room and was very comfortable.

Great location. This property is totally remodeled and is very clean. Modern, and comfortable. The staff were some of the most friendly and hospitable we've ever experienced

Re Federico is a centrally located hotel on the island of Ortigia and close to the water. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel appears to be fairly recently renovated and our room was spacious with a well-functioning AC. We also enjoyed the large in-room breakfast in the morning. Other perks include the street cafe on the first floor of the hotel. We had a great cocktail hour there watching people walk the streets. It is also easy to get anywhere on the island from this spot. A few tips - we drove our cars and the hotel was a tad hard to find. I'd advise dropping off your bags and planning to go quickly to the public parking area about 10-15 min walk away. I would say its a tad expensive compared to other hotels of similar quality we stayed in throughout Sicily. All in, a nice pleasant spot in a good location.

Très bon Hôtel avec un appartement pour 4 personnes. Très bonne literie. Petit dej servi en chambre. Très silencieux , spacieux et permet de tout faire à pied car situé au cœur de la vieille ville. Se garer au parking couvert de talete. Possibilité de venir en voiture jusqu’à l’hôtel pr charger/ décharger les affaires.
