Greeted off the coach by a male serving at reception and after "booking in", we were led downstairs to the restaurant where the hotel very graciously laid on a bite to eat for us even though we didn't arrive till approximately 01:45am local time! Ok, let's get the bad points out the way. 1. Broken patio chair (as displayed in photo caught us out by "grabbing" us both on occasion - sorted by merely placing a towel over, collapsed eventually, 2. No internal lock on entry door. Alison didn't initially feel secure especially at night but we overcame this. There was however a security bolt on the bathroom door 🤔 and an internal lock on said door 🤷 (obviously, we chose not to sleep in the bathroom 🤣). This was further demonstrated as on the Thursday, Sunday and Monday morning, a cleaner entered the room whilst we were still in bed! (Not they're fault, they only doing their job 🙂) #3. No door card (do not disturb etc) which could have helped the above problem, 4. There was building work going on next door, (a further Castello hotel) and the staff start work early which can be easily heard while you lie-in 5. TAKE BUG SPRAY! We got eaten alive out here! Now for the good...Rooms are very clean, ours had a balcony, tea/coffee making facilities, fridge, hair dryer, air con (which worked brilliantly) and the bed!! Comfy, understatement! We slept really well! The hotel is very centrally located between bars, shore, supermarket and made our stay easy! This hotel is magnificently kept, really clean&staff are extremely helpful. Pool really clean, and there's 2! The food is generally good, although we only got up for breakfast twice (lie-in part of holiday!) We also enjoyed Greek night. Ervis is brilliant at his job&seems to be on hand most of the day to get you anything you need (Give him pay rise!). Also generally most of the staff are helpful
