デスポイナ(Despoina)

We have stayed in many hotels in Skiathos town but this is the best. Decent prices, spacious rooms with large balcony and refrigerator. Nice and clean. AC is wonderful. Lovely family that runs it. 5 minutes walk from main street and 3 minutes to bus stop 3 for the bus to the beaches. Highly recommended.Best regards Kjell and Mikael Stockholm

Despoina is a complex of apartments located in a quiet area of the island just outside Skiathos town, city center being just 10 minutes of walk far. Our room was cosy and clean, with essential furniture and no kitchen (to consider if you are looking for a place where cooking meals on your own), yet we found a small fridge to store our stuff. John is a patient host and a good man, he welcomed us with joy and gave precious advice about what to visit and how to move around. He showed us the closest supermarket and bus stop, which are just around the corner and this was a really good point. Our stay in Skiathos lasted 6 days. The island is quite small, and the southern coastline is served by a bus connecting the town with some of the most beautiful beaches of the place. The northern side is wilder, and can be reached by boat or renting mopeds, buggies or cars (roads leading there have no asphalt). We chose to move mainly by bus, boat tripping from the port to reach the northern beaches (Lalaria, Kastro, etc.) and visit the other islands of the Sporades (Skopelos, Alonissos and Tzougrias). We advice you not to rent a car since it could result in a waste of money. On the other hand, wandering around the dust roads of the island on a dune buggy could be really fun. We will try for sure next time we visit. To sum up, we had some great time in Skiathos, and Despoina was the right place to stay. Highly recommended.

We were pleased with everything: - large, clean, good-looking room - two luggage stands - comfortable beds - everything in working order - daily cleaning of room, without being obtrusive - frequent changing of towels and of bed sheets - great location - less than 15 minutes away from the port, 3 minutes away from the beautiful city streets, 5 minutes away from the closest bus station - kind and helpful hosts - fair price Negative point, but not a deal breaker for us (thanks to EU roaming policies): - no Wi-Fi

great location just outside the center reachable on foot in two minutes room cleaned every day linen change every two days jhon and mum always available to give advice free parking in addition through jhon we have also rented the scooter at an extremely convenient amount highly recommend to anyone who wants to come to skiathos Numbers 1 !!!!

Albergo semplice ed essenziale ma con tutto quanto può servire per una splendida vacanza, in relazione alla tipologia e al prezzo!! Ci siamo trovati benissimo e ci siamo sentiti come a casa!! Inoltre è comodo al centro e alla fermata del bus!! Il proprietario e sua mamma inoltre sono super disponibili e gentili!! Come detto prima di partire: πόλι όρεο το δωμάτιο

Struttura in linea con il costo e le stelle attribuite ad essa. Ambiente abbastanza pulito. Il proprietario è una persona estremamente disponibile. Non è molto lontano dal centro di skiathos, 10 minuti a piedi e molto vicino alla fermata 3 del bus con cui si raggiungono facilmente tutte le spiagge del sud dell’isola

Un’esperienza ottima, consiglio vivamente. Fin dal primo momento il gestore si è dimostrato cortese e disponibile. La camera era ampia, pulita con un condizionatore perfettamente funzionante. Inoltre, ogni giorno venivano regolarmente svolte le pulizie e fatti i letti. Davvero un posto stupendo, siamo rimasti pienamente soddisfatti, ci ritorneremo.

Siamo stati una settimana in questa struttura io e la mia ragazza. Ad accoglierci è stato il proprietario, una persona molto gentile e disponibile che fin da subito ci ha aiutati nel comprendere la logistica dell'isola con tutte le varie informazioni necessarie. Ci ha anche aiutato con il noleggio dello scooter (consiglio vivamente di affittare al posto) e con il taxi per il ritorno all'aeroporto. La stanza viene pulita ogni mattina e il cambio biancheria avviene due volte alla settimana (peccato solo per la mancanza della cucina). Ci siamo sentiti accolti e guidati, respirando relax e tranquillità. Consiglio vivamente il soggiorno presso questa struttura.
