ベストウェスタン ラエゲライド ホテル(Best Western Laegreid Hotell)

The hotel itself was fine, overall, the staff friendly enough. However, they forgot to mention at the time of the booking that a few metres outside the hotel opposite our bedroom window was a two day music festival, playing extremely loud music until after mid-night, then the crowds outside shouting, booking cabs, which didn’t exist etc. the final straw was at 3am, four guys completely inebriated were shouting, the staff did little to prevent the nuisance, and suggested that given the festival was for two days only, we needed to accept the fact. Not impressed and formal complaint to Best Western to follow.

Clean and tidy. The staff was superb. The airline lost our luggage, which was a bummer because we had very little in our carry on bag, but the receptionist went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. She also was very helpful in advising stores to meet our needs as well as restaurant recommendations! Breakfast was included and delicious with an abundance of choices.

Hotel is at a very nice location along Sogndal Fjords. Nice views from hotel and easy to walk around the area to enjoy even more views. Breakfast was very nice with lots many options. Viking cruise to see Fjord is just 3 mins walk.

The room was beautiful.

The rooms were great but the service was awful. Dropped laundry off was told it would be ready between 8:00-9:00 the next morning. At 9:00 was told it hadn’t been started but would be fine later that day. The resulted in my kids wearing their pajamas for our fjord cruise that day. the day At 20:00 we were told it still wasn’t done and our clothes were wet and line drying. When I complained to the manager that it wasn’t done despite being told it would be twice she said it wasn’t her problem. One male staff member simply said “ complaining won’t get it dried faster” which obviously upset me as now the kids didn’t have pajamas to wear either. Finally got the clothes the following morning and some were still damp. This was the only hotel we stayed at two nights in a row or it really could have been really bad for the rest of our trip. Lack of Staff training was bad enough but the manager response was inexcusable Won’t stay there again

Neat and tidy

Great location just next to the water. Super efficient check in and check out. Loved the big bed, most beds in Norway seem to be queen size, this one was king size. Breakfast was ok, I would like to teach the cook how to make good scrambled eggs next time. Other than that, the buffet was good for a 3-star hotel. There was to be supposed to be a bar and restaurant, but we couldn't find the bar and the restaurant was closed. Most of the furniture is quite dated - and more of old colonial style but that's a matter of taste, really.
