ザ クリスタル ヴァヤ ユニーク(The Crystal Vaya Unique)

We have stayed a few times and I'm sure we will return. We had a two bedroom suite which worked brilliantly having two kids. The room was spacious and well equipped, the highlight being a log fire which the kids loved. The service and food at the Crystal is always excellent. The hotel is ski to door and has direct access to the gondola, the ski shop is also accessible without even going outside. Underground secure parking is also a bonus if you drive there.

We have just arrived and we are blown away by this hotel. Our room is absolutely beautiful. We have a 2 bed suite with a panoramic balcony overlooking the snowy mountains. There is complimentary champagne and macaroons too. I def think I have been upgraded! Haven’t had dinner yet but the afternoon tea was lovely. They served bread, cheese, meats, soup and a variety of puddings - all very nice. There are lots of amenities- 3 pools, gym, spa etc so there is plenty to do after a day on the slopes. It’s about a 10 min walk into town and beginner slopes/ski school. So happy I booked the Crystal Vaya.

We arrived around midday and the room was not ready, We enquired about early check in and was told it was €300! We left our things at reception and went off to ski. When we came back our room was ready amazing views but the room was cold. We were told maintenance would be up to adjust the heat off the radiators you can’t change the temp yourself there is no room thermostat. Came back later room was still cold was told it was due to being on the 7th floor and a plug In heater was provided. Food for us was a disappointment portions are very small and the food was just weird! No chicken on the menu the whole week unless you ordered off the children’s menu and pasta was on the menu just once. Not the type of food you want you wanted after a day of skiing. The spa was disappointing again after a day on the slopes you want to have a swim and chill it was just too cold, not just the pools but the relaxation areas too. We Couldn’t relax in there as it was just not warm enough. Overall an average stay and we wouldn’t return. Which is such a shame as this hotel does have potential amazing views and access to the gondola but the food needs attention, and the hotel and spa needs to be warmer!

We stayed at this wonderful hotel for four nights for a skiing holiday with our friends and it did not disappoint. Please see below our feedback: 1. Rooms are beautiful, we booked the Junior Penthouse suite and it was amazing. Incredible views and really spacious. We highly recommend. 2. The location for skiing is perfect, next to the ski hire shop, easy storage for your equipment and ski in ski out. 3. The breakfast offered lots of variety, from freshly made eggs/omelettes etc. fruit, pastries, bread, cheese, cold meats, pancakes and more. Great to fill up before a day on the slopes. 4. The spa, is amazing….so many different areas to relax in. Included steam, sauna, relaxation pods, indoor and outdoor pools. The water was a little on the chilly side for me but I still went in. 5. Evening dinner was very nice, starting with a salad bar and bread. The menu varies each night with lots of options. Of course we preferred the menu on some nights more than others. 6. We booked the half board package, so we were given a set table for breakfast and dinner for the duration of our stay. We liked this set up. 7. Bar areas and all other communal areas are good, snacks available. 8. Finally the hotel team were brilliant, attentive, friendly, and provided amazing customer service at all times. A big thank you. A would recommend staying in this hotel.

This is an excellent hotel and we are already planning to book for next year. It is very clean and well maintained, the rooms are serviced beautifully each day. There is a ski lift right next to the hotel and a bus stop. The boot room is vast and right under the hotel which leads seamlessly into the ski shop. The wine lodge and apres ski food is very good. This was our favourite place. Peter is a great member of staff. The spa facilities are fabulous and the treatments amazing. There is also a really good gym with equipment that actually works. The reason I have only given 4 stars is because despite the food being very good and the staff lovely, the service in the restaurant is chaotic, unpredictable and haphazard. The evening of our arrival and New Year’s Eve being very challenging. My tips. Check your bill carefully, grab a drink from the bar and take it up and eat early.

Went for Christmas to this hotel and travelled with our daughter. The suite was lovely and spacious and lots of wardrobe space. The staff were really super especially in the restaurant very attentive. The breakfasts are amazing with so much choice and freshly made omelettes etc. The evening menu was varied with the option of salad bar and amazing desserts. You won’t leave feeling hungry! Really loved staying here and hope to return next year. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This is our 2nd time at this fabulous hotel. The service and quality of accom is first class and we can’t recommend it highly enough especially for families with children The food is incredible, with a stunning breakfast selection and 5 course a la carte evening meal. Children can pick and choose from that menu or switch any courses for more child friendly options like pasta and schnitzel with fries etc. We have a 9 Yr old child with a peanut allergy and she has been so well catered for, eating mostly a la carte all week. The pool and spa area is top quality, though gets busy after ski school. You can buy ski passes from hotel reception, then the hotel is about a 5 / 10 mins walk from ski school and you can hire all you need from the Schrieber hire shop and boot room in the basement. Just making life a little simpler for busy families.

We stayed at this hotel in half term week. Reviews had made us a little cautious about booking half board so went bed and breakfast, with the intention that we would have a few evenings out and pay the excess a few nights to eat in the hotel. We thought the hotel food was amazing, breakfast was very plentiful and something for everyone. You may struggle if you had particular dietary requirements (example array of breakfast cereals/muesli/granola but all signs written in German). Evening meal was 5 course and had a choice of soup and main course. Good standard of food and presented well. We have 3 children from 7 up to 12 and they would eat from the main menu, occasionally switching to ice cream for dessert. Boot room amazing and connected to the ski hire shop, which was connected to the gondola. Possibly the best boot room we have come across. The hotel is about 4 min walk to ski school. Swimming pools also good, indoor and outdoor. I used the gym and also of a high standard. Rooms modern and clean, good views. Great showers. Two criticisms: Rooms were hot at night time. No tea time snacks. We found all staff helpful and friendly. We would definitely return to this hotel.

AVOID THIS HOTEL!!!!!! The worst experience ever had! Charges not clear, they can add charges at their preferences but (they say) cannot discharge anything. When you complain at the desk nobody give an explanation saying only that they're right without giving a reason and the general manager is ALWAYS NOT AVAILABLE. I will raise a formal complaint to the company as they cannot have such employees on board.
