Property was great! But make sure you book your own transportation to and from the airport and stay away fro Mexico Travel Solutions, this was a booking from Speedy Shuttle! So do not select that as an option! I booked my transportation in advance so I could relax on vacation, MTS got my flight information wrong and booked me for a 7:40am pick up for a 2:30pm flight! 6 hours at the airport in advance is unacceptable! When I reached out to their team 4 days in advance, I was given the run around with miscommunication and the issues was not fixed! I was refunded $57 just to turn around and have to book a last minute taxi for $97! I lost hours of my vacation/beach time as well as $40! I am unhappy with this result as any of you would be yet I was treated like this was all my fault! I want to make sure people know to stay away from MTS as an incompetent company that could leave you stranded without transportation and you could loose precious vacation/relaxation time!

Second stay at Barcelo and it was just as wondeful as the first! Property and rooms are so clean! Buffet has a variety! Dinner restuartants are delicious! Don't forget your tumbler for the pool bars!

Very nice resort. Great for adults only. It was super quiet and will maintained. Nice your able to enjoy the amenities of the other resorts as it makes for lots to do. The food was great as well. I'd stay here again!

I had an incredible experience at Barceló Maya Riviera resort, thanks to the outstanding service provided by their dedicated staff. Martin Cituk and Madai López at Buffet Miramar went above and beyond to make my dining experience delightful. Yulmar and Candelario at the Agave Restaurant ensured every meal was a memorable culinary journey. Special recognition goes to Asuscencia from YouSpa, whose expertise in delivering a relaxing facial surpassed my expectations, even lulling me into a peaceful sleep. Each of these employees contributed to an unforgettable stay, and I highly recommend the Barceló Maya Riviera for their exceptional service.

It was my first time in Mexico and Barceló made it a great experience. The staff are top notch and the views are amazing. 5 stars!

Love the staff here at Barceló. They have great service. The property and the beach are beautiful. We had a swim out room with a tub on the patio. We just it in the evenings for a quick dip before bed, but it wasn’t necessary during the day. The restaurants had great food. My only complaint here was the other food. The buffet was pretty mediocre quality as well as the room service selection. There was no food allowed at the pool so that was a bummer compared to other places weve stayed here. Breakfast and lunches were disappointing, but dinners were great.

This resort was amazing. We booked a swim up room. Everything was clean, well kept up and beautiful. The rooms have high ceilings so your upstairs neighbors aren’t a bother, the room is spacious as well as the bathroom. Every morning they come by to restock the mini fridge and give you clean towels. You will never go hungry or get bored with the food. The dinner reservation restaurants are good but if you can’t make it or they don’t have any openings don’t be too concerned, the buffet is great, I did notice no dinner buffet on Friday night? A lot of check outs happened so maybe there was plenty of room at the reservation restaurants. The staff! Everyone was so nice and helpful. They really just want to make you happy. We are not huge drinkers and still enjoyed every minute of our stay. They keep the beach immaculate. Every night someone is placing the chairs, 2 under each palm tree and straightening them out at the pools, omg the pools!!! Yes we were lucky to have our own off our porch but the main pools are gorgeous! And plenty of them that they do not get crowded. The sports bar has snacks and popcorn. We had access to the premium lounge as well which had drinks, food, dessert and more. We can’t wait to come back.

The resort was beautiful but here are the things I saw trouble with the service; - the air conditioner wasn’t working at full capacity, it felt warm till about 9pm at night when it finally starting cooling. - the room service was at a charge, and an expensive charge at that( a small round pizza cost $13 USD, and it was not a very good pizza) - reservations for dinner was ridiculous, the night I got there, almost everything was booked for the next 4 days except the late night meals, they wouldnt except walk ins. I purposely went to one of the italian restaurants to see if I can get a table, they told me no if you didn’t have a reservations, I saw 6 open tables with no lines waiting for them, so I ask about those tables which obviously meant cancellations but they still told me no because hotel policy. This policy needs to change to allow walks in after there is a no show for a reservation. - there is no beach or pool drink service( only at the pool bar) compare to other resorts where you have waiters and waitresses walking around asking for drink orders. Service could be better for this resort if they change some policies
