This beautiful oasis exceeded all my expectations! The interior, the food, the people, the location – everything is thought of with so much love and attention to detail! It's truly a paradise.

What an amazing and relaxing time! From the balloons in my room upon arrival to the complimentary top shelve champagne…thank you Maroma. Icing on the cake was my concierge Rosita, so attentive and welcoming.

We had a wonderful, relaxing 48 hours at Maroma. The service was wonderful- attentive always very helpful, even before we arrived with quick responses to emails. The property is beautiful- small with great details and cozy corners. The food was wonderful as was the spa. It is a very quiet, relaxing place so do not come if you want nightlife or a lot to do. But, do come if you want to unwind and enjoy time together in a beautiful setting!

My stay at the Maroma was really lovely - the hospitality was incredibly attentive, and it felt like everything was possible. My room was beautiful and well designed. The staff was excellent: the gentlemen on the beach graciously arranged chairs, brought treats throughout the day, and were very welcoming. The restaurant and bar staff were wonderful. The only negative for me was the price of the food - it's just unfathomably expensive, like it simply makes no sense and I had to force myself to not pay attention to it. (I live in NYC and am used to expensive dining - but whatever you think that means, you're not prepared for these prices - $60 salads, $80 pieces of overcooked fish). Breakfasts were a real treat - fresh fruit, quesadillas, delicious granola, eggs, iced coffee. Highly recommend fish tacos and micheladas in Puerto Morelos if you want to stretch your legs, but this property is incredibly relaxing and inviting and it was hard to peel myself off the beach. Had a delightful massage at the spa as well.

We stayed in Maroma for our honeymoon and everything was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the beautiful rooms and natural surroundings were amazing, food & drink was so tasty (breakfast was the highlight, so much choice and great portions!). We had such a relaxing and enjoyable stay, with the staff making us feel so special. We hope to return soon!

After visiting the Belmond Splendido in Portofino last summer, we were determined to explore more Belmond properties. Maroma exceeded our expectations. Every employee was warm, welcoming, and made our stay extremely comfortable and relaxing. The rooms were authentic and luxurious. We had an ocean front room, and every afternoon I swung in the hammock taking in all of the beauty surrounding after spending time on the beach. We will 100% be returning. This trip was a baby moon for us, and it was the perfect choice. Special thank you to Claudia, Sabrina, Alfonso, and Rafael!

The attention to detail at Maroma is like nothing you've ever seen. The staff treated us like royalty! Food and beverages were delicious, and the spa is out-of-this-world. We will return!

Maroma exceeded our expectations in every way: the service, the food, the amenities, the beach it was a perfect getaway. The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable… not to mention the luxurious linens and beds!! The setting is magical… understated luxury. And it’s all about the beautiful beach with fine white sand!! Can’t say enough about the attractive and warm service we received. It made our getaway very special!! And do NOT skip the spa!! What a wonderful escape!!

We visited the hotel two months ago. We had an extraordinary experience and decided to return. We did not think it could be any better. We were wrong. It was sensational! The hotel is in pristine condition, but it is the service personnel that exceeded expectations with obvious excellence. Every wish or desire is fulfilled with genuine pleasure. If I didn’t know any better, I would’ve thought we were the owners. We will return again shortly.
