コートヤード バイ マリオット ミシャワカ - ユニバーシティ エリア(Courtyard Mishawaka-University Area)

We have stayed before but this was not the same experience. There was a large nail standing upright near the shower that looked like it was strategically planted for someone to injure themselves. Our room had not been cleaned - there were clothing tags and other peoples toiletries on the floor. There were no clean toiletries in the bathroom. Cafe staff was late opening and did not seem happy to be working. The elevator felt like a death trap and wasn’t working properly. We checked out early.

For starters the front desk attendant did not give us the right amount of breakfast vouchers. When I asked, she couldn't explain why she only gave me enough for one person when there were two of us. Once in the room, the heating unit did not work, there were stains on one pillow case, one pillow case was inside out, stains on the sheets, the bathroom floor was dirty, the sink was clogged, there was FECES on the toilet seat, and to top it off it was a handicap unit so everything was too low. The bar was also not open due to the low number of customers so we were limited to bottled items. Overall a crappy stay and will never book again. Very poorly managed.

We were told that the hotel had a bistro and a bar with pictures on the website . We decided to book there so we could come back after a long day of Black Friday shopping and Eat our dinner, have a few cocktails and get in out of the cold. When we checked in in between stores we were told that they would let us know if bar would be open. Julie checked us in and she was super nice but her boss was curt and rude when I ask again if it would be open. When we returned at 7 pm and had already checked in at 3pm we found that it would not be open. Very upset and had to go back out for Dinner. I think if we did not get the amenities as promised we should have been discounted our room. It was too late to go somewhere else. Also, no one mentioned where the pool was. Also we should have had one breakfast included with our room Nope was not.

My only complaint was the odor. It smelled of old and dirty carpet. The smell was mostly in the hallways, but was noticeable in the room as well. Many stains on the car part that is not typical of a Marriott.

No complimentary breakfast is a deal breaker. Not even coffee! Didn’t realize that when I booked. For $349 a night, coffee and danish, at the least, is a must. Loved everything else but will look elsewhere next time

Stayed here for the first time. The room was huge, which was nice and bed was comfortable. Little things will keep us from staying again. Black mold like substance on ceiling in shower area from previous leak, sliding door to the bathroom had no "handle" so wouldn't close fully, didn't like how we paid ahead of time for breakfast but only got $10 vouchers for overpriced cafe, was never able to connect to wifi.

Older property, fogged over window, noisy havc system, could not get clean towels despite 3 night stay, had to ask twice for more toilet paper, downstairs cafe charged real money for their Starbucks offerings but did not have any half and half, attendant was neither helpful nor pleasant.

Debbie at the front desk was amazing! Cheerful, efficient and I was able to check in early. The room was nice, appeared clean and more than adequate. However, the bed was the worst I have ever been in. Old, saggy and made noise every time I moved. Super uncomfortable. The next morning, I realized the accumulation of dust on the sprinkler head and the grime and yuck on the wall by the bathroom light switch. Small hairs in the corner of the bathroom floor and several stuck to the shower curtain. Gross. I have to travel to the area for work and will not stay here again.

Convenient location that is close to anywhere you want to go in South Bend. 10 minute drive to Notre Dame. Room was a little small, but it was clean and safe. Would stay again.
