I was so looking forward to my little trip to Grafton as I wanted to see the amazing jacaranda trees!! When I arrived, I was greeted by Mark I believe his name was. He just handed over the key to my queen villa. I just put my suitcase in & didn't really look at the apartment. I asked if there was somewhere to eat, and he said a good 15 minutes walk. I was shattered after a 10 +hrs train journey, so I popped to the garage for water, a pie & a magnum ice cream. I returned with food, put the lights on & gulped with shock to how grubby & tiered everything looked. I checked the bed to make sure it was clean, and it was ok, but the rest no!!!! Sofa all grubby, greasy & stained & really well worn. Mat on floor was filthy, wardrobe smelt so wouldn't put clothes in there & only about 3 hangers. Where air conditioning unit was, it must have had a leak & just plastered but not painted. Saving grace was the shower!! It was that bad. I was straight on my phone to try & find somewhere else & I couldn't find anywhere. After a very unpleasant night, I checked for bites, luckily none. I was booked for 3 nights I left Saturday afternoon & caught the night train back to Sydney back to my beautiful Airbnb. So upset & disappointed by the whole experience.

We travelled as a sporting team. Unfortunately customer service from Michelle needs much improvement. After a day of sport the team looked forward to a swim in the pool. Much to their disappointment we arrived with a sign stating the pool was closed. I went to chat to Reception and was told Poolzone on their way by 5pm. Unfortunately I knew this wasn't true and it seemed Poolzone knew nothing about this, they didn't want our kids in the pool. We were happy to supervise and work out a compromise but unfortunately it was non-negotiable. My friend had other issues in her room and was treated like she was in the wrong and spoken to very rudely. A child bounced a soft rubber ball in the carpark and a customer came out and abused the child stating he has lived here that long he practically manages the place. Why take a sporting team of teenagers in if they aren't allowed to move especially the pool. I will never recommend or go back to this motel until there are different people in charge. This is not the correct motel for children.

We have stayed in this motel a few times before, first trip was great although the lady who was managing at the time was intoxicated while we were checking in and very rude at the time. The second time we have stayed there was a new manager and he was so lovely to deal with, gave great directions to where to eat, places to go and sites to see, also gave great directions on how to get places. We then stayed again this past September and the lady from the first trip was back. She was again intoxicated the entire time we were there. This has put us off when booking at the motel again unless the lovely man who was managing the second time is back. Have the upmost respect for Mark the new manager and the way he goes above and beyond for all his guest. Everything in the rooms have always been clean and tidy as well as all the surrounds and all the staff are beautiful. Would Highly recommend when Mark is working,

Had a very large and comfortable room for a one night stay. The sitting area was spacious and comfortable and the queen size bed allowed for a very good night’s rest. It IS close to a main road and a railway line however, there was no noise in the room. Perhaps the only downside is the small shower recess but this is a good place for a stopover.

Nice large/spacious room with 5 seater lounge, kitchen area, 4 seater dining table, big bed nice ensuite. Extra single bed next to the lounge. Minor negative was no cold water at vanity( not connected?) but cold water in kitchen and shower worked. Hot water in all 3 locations was okay. About 8mins south of the centre of town.

This comfortable family hotel was a pleasant surprise. Although modestly priced it was clean and spacious with lots of extra amenities, including a well designed kitchenette, bedroom separate from the lounge room, comfortable bed, free parking at the door, wifi, and beautifully landscaped gardens that included a separate pool area, barbecue area and two other sheltered outdaor relaxing areas. The friendly manager greeted us and ensured we had everything we needed. We felt like VIPs. Much appreciated.

We were greeted by the very friendly Michelle when we arrived who showed us to our room, which was a nice touch. You can tell she has pride in the hotel and rightly so as they have added their own unique touch to each room. The rooms are large and they are like small suites with a seperate bedroom, kitchenette and renovated bathroom. Room was clean. We liked having a full sized lounge to sit on. Bed was comfortable with decent linen. Would recommend for a stopover.

A real country motel - friendly and helpful - clean and comfortable room. We would thoroughly recommend overnight stop here. Very unique decor - hard to describe but has to be seen to appreciate the efforts that have gone into the design (room 2).
