I loved this hotel very much! The room was clean and new. It was situated at the perfect location which enjoys the best view of Split while you can reach the old town/castle within 15min by walking along the beautiful ocean side. I was really amazed by their breakfast. The hotel service was very good too. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I was granted a late check-out at 1pm upon request :) Highly recommend this hotel to visitors of Split!
We stayed at Balatura in Split for 2 night before our cruise to Dubrovnik. My husband and cousin and her husband stayed and loved the vibe! The area is safe and quiet and 10 min to the town. So tastefully decorated, comfortable bed and delicious breakfast. The staff were so pleasant and the atmosphere relaxing. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms spotless. I look forward to returning! Dea was a treasure and so easy to deal with via email and even set up the transport form airport to Balatura. Easy peasy!! Thank you for a wonderful start to our Croatia adventure! Highly recommend!

Great hotel close enough to old town for a quick walk to the palace, yet just far enough away that it’s still quiet and easy to get to and from. Staff is great and being able to park the rental car overnight in the garage made a world of difference. Will come back and will stay here again.
Bravo.
Before arriving, I read reviews of this hotel. Many 1 star ratings with confusing reviews. When we arrived, the reception area is beautiful with a gorgeous view of the sea. There is also a bar and restaurant downstairs. We were on the second floor and there were stains on the carpet in the hallway, but that didn’t affect my hotel room. We walked in the hotel room and it was clean, brand new and spacious. The bathroom was so clean and big. The only criticism of the bathroom is that it doesn’t have an electrical outlet. The room had lots of storage and was well planned. The hotel is about 20 minutes from old town Split so we ate dinner in the hotel. We also had breakfast there. The food was great! Don’t be scared off from the one star reviews!

We started and ended our vacation here at House Sandra. Marko was responsive in our communications before and during our stay. We opted to have him pick us up after our long travel day, and he was friendly and helpful, giving us tips and lots of info. Great host – as well as his father, who met us on our 2nd stay. The upstairs suite was clean, bright, and spacious, and had everything we needed. It was nice to have a sofa and an area to fix coffee or snacks (dishes, utensils, tea kettle, coffee/tea provided). On our 2nd visit, only a small guest room was available on the ground floor. We could hear cars/people outside, as the window is right by the driveway, or sometimes the guests above, but it wasn’t bothersome at all. I was impressed with how much use they made in the smaller space – you still had a desk, coffee/tea service, dishes/utensils tucked in a drawer, etc. We’d stay here again, as the hosts were great to work with, and the location of the property is very convenient. You can walk to the harbor to pick up a ferry, go to the stop to take the airport bus, head over to Diocletian’s Palace and the Riva, etc.
All you might be looking for applies Close to where all activities and excursions are, we had a car and it took about 15 minutes to get there, very clean and upgraded breakfast included prices are also very reasonable overall we had a very pleasant experience and highly recommend the place
LLC678Good location in the palace area, but it could be very confused because the hotel has different annex which is couple minutes walk apart. And it could be difficult to find the location of the annex, for the one I stay in named Villa Donbric couldn’t be find in Google map. Besides, since we have couple of large luggages, we look for hotel with elevator but the annex I stayed didn’t facilitated one. (I am not sure the other annex has one or not) The room is smaller than I expected, it’s a bit messy when we open up two luggage together. Other than that, it’s a cozy place to stay with helpful staff. The breakfast is served and good, with different options of eggs. I suggest extra attention is better when booking the hotel about the location and concern with luggages. Or I will suggest booking their optional pick up service.
Stayed at this property for 2 nights. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. The location is excellent to explore what Split has to offer! Restaurants and attractions are literally adjacent to the hotel. Room was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. Bathroom was large, shower floor grout needed some attention. We had a rental car, the hotel does not have parking, an area parking lot was recommended by the hotel that was not too far away (walking distance). Cost was about 20 Euros per day. Overall a very positive experience, we would stay there again!
ゲゲストLocated on the first floor of a 4 storey block in a secondary area, a ten minute walk North of the centre, the external impression is underwhelming. However the warm and friendly greeting at reception and the small, but very nicely finished and immaculately clean, ensuite room changed our feeling. The continental breakfast buffet was provided in a small room but with a lovely choice of fresh and interesting choices which varied each day. Once we got used to the area we found the walk down to the historical centre quite enjoyable with various small bars and cafes catering for locals at a much reduced cost. Using local buses and a small 'road train' we explored Kris Castle (30 mins) and the coastal forest park alongside the architectural delights of the old town. A very relaxed and enjoyable few days to balance the week on Hvar Island which preceded our stay. A convenient 30 minute taxi to the airport on the last morning avoided a hectic, taxi-boat-taxi return. We would stay again.
ゲゲストIt is like to be in a maze to find this hotel in middle of the night like I did but the receptionist was there and was very friendly despite the late time. Room was more than Ok. For the breakfast they always forget one thing the morning (the fruits or my croissants) but as I am not eating much the morning it was not issue. I specially enjoy the location and the room.
