This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel (of any brand). My family and I made (and paid for) our reservations in advance. However, when we arrived, the front desk clerk informed us there were no rooms available. She admitted it was her error. My wife, who previously worked in the hotel industry for many years in human resources, suggested they ”walk” us to another hotel since it was their error. However, the front desk clerk said she had never heard of this term before and did not know what to do. (To provide context, we had driven more than 5 hours and were exhausted when we arrived. My 82-year-old mother, who was traveling with us, was very stressed out about this situation as we had to wait in the hotel lobby for hours. The hotel clerk, who had been left to work the shift alone, was scrambling around. It was chaos. Management should have never left this clerk alone during the busy Memorial Day weekend. That is a clear sign of the poor management of this hotel property.) After sitting in the hotel lobby for several hours, we were finally provided one room. The front desk clerk, who was working alone, did not have a second room for us. She stated that there was a vacant room, but it would need to be ”deep cleaned” because a medical emergency had happened in that room earlier that night. The room next door was available because the person who had checked in only stayed a few hours then left. However, that room was not clean, and housekeeping had already left for the day, so she (the front desk clerk) would have to try to clean the room herself. When we were finally given access to the room (hours later), we discovered it had not been properly cleaned, and the bed-sheets were in disarray. The next morning, the manager apologized and acknowledged that it was her fault for taking off work that day and leaving the front desk clerk alone at the hotel. The manager also stated that we would receive a full refund for both rooms since what had happened was the hotel’s responsibility and it was not acceptable that we had to go through that, and she would check with the general manager to add additional Hilton Honors points to our account (in addition to the full refund). We left the hotel, believing the issue had been resolved, but later, we received a phone call, in which the manager we had met with during checkout stated that she had tried but was unable to give us a refund because we had prepaid for the room (I guess the lesson is, you should never prepay for your stay. Otherwise, the hotel will try to deny a refund, even if they overbook the hotel, which is their fault, not the fault of the guest). The manager said, instead, they would give us enough points for one night’s stay for one room only. This is not what we were promised when we originally met with the manager during check out. Even after admitting that she had attempted to get us a full refund, she later denied ever offering us a refund at all. Not only did this propert
Handicap roll in shower 1 bedroom suite the suite has plenty of floor space for a wheelchair and the bathroom is big enough for a turn around space with drop down bench the kitchen was nice my main issue is the buildings don’t have but one handicap ramp you have to walk and push you love one a good distance then of course go back to get your belongings the outside is not handicap friendly
Best hotel since we’ve traveled over the holidays. This was a good midway stop for us to take a rest before heading home. Staff was super nice, breakfast was included even if they originally said it wasn’t, parking was free/available (no extra surcharge), hotel was super clean and layout was nice, they provide Starbucks coffee in your room (for those coffee lovers) and they have a good coffee machine as complimentary that you can grab at anytime. They have a vending machine for you to grab any snacks if needed on your floor. The price was worth it. I would 100% stay here again! Springfield also introduced me to a few fun activities around the area as well so it’s definitely a place to go visit and if so I recommend this hotel!
I stayed here with my son for one night because we were in town for a family event. Overall, this is a ”very good” motel, but far from ”excellent.” The woman who checked us in was absolutely fantastic. She was so nice and pleasant to deal with. The rooms are very OK. We were on a highway facing side of the hotel and we could hear the sound of the passing traffic from the interstate pretty much the entire night. The hotel is situated right off the interstate, so this was disruptive. They do have a small convenience-style restaurant with some basic food items in the lobby, but it is expensive and it's tough for me to get over the idea of actually paying for breakfast in the mornings. I appreciate the convenience of being able to buy a beer in the lobby instead of leaving the property to do so, but breakfast should be included or much less expensive than it is. The whole staff was very friendly and the room was clean enough. it was obvious that in the bathrooms, the duct had been spray painted to conceal what I can only imagine was rust, but the room itself was in acceptable condition. Overall, we probably wouldn't stay here again mostly because of the noise from the road, but at $100/night, the price was fair for a mid-grade full service hotel.
KKevin BThis hotel is in a good location and offered the best deal in the area in my opinion. It all probably just depends on your expectations, but it was clean and the breakfast was good and the breakfast cooks were friendly. Nothing fancy, but everything worked well. Texas Roadhouse is right behind the hotel and Andy’s is just down the street. The pool was clean. Our daughter had a baby and we made reservations around 9:00 pm online and was tired. Turned out I booked the wrong night and it said the booking was nonrefundable. The front desk didn’t hesitate to fix the problem and got us our room ASAP.
Nice Hotel in an excellent location. Friendly check in Ladies. Big room with comfortable bedding. Our room air was on and we were instantly comfortable with the temperature. This may sound weird but we have a 50/50 chance that the tv works. Our tv worked and had lots of channels to choose from. Our bathroom was clean with lots of towels. We had complimentary soap, shampoo, and conditioner displayed nicely.
