We have stayed at this motel before and the service and cleanliness of the place is still first class. The rooms are very nice and have two hot plates for cooking and a lovely big bathroom the shower is over the bath that is the only thing that I would like different. The gentleman who runs the property is very friendly and there is a laundry for guests to use for a small cost. The clothes line is out the back of the units. This property is on the main road but is very quiet as we had the front unit by the pool. There is off street parking for the cars. There is a Countdown and Woolworth Supermrakets very close also a K mart and a Bunning.

This is such a great place to stay. We arrived in the wee small hours, no problem a key was left out for us and milk in the fridge! Our room was lovely and incredibly clean. These people know how to run a motel and do it well. We will definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Greated nicely, Parking was close to room. The room was clean and tidy and well equipped. No traffic noise.

Our stay was great. The accommodation was more of a house than a motel and very comfortable for my family of five. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was welcome on a hot NZ day. Will stay again next time.

We were looking for accommodation to break our trip south that would allow our dog to stay. I found the Phoenix Motor Inn online and am very pleased I did. Reservation was easy, stress free and reasonably priced taking into account the additional cleaning required. The unit was modern , bright and very clean. Good facilities within the unit , a laundry (which I used) and a small pool (which we didn’t use) however, it looked lovely. While close to a busy road it was very quiet. Supermarket, service station and restaurants within walking distance. Overall I would definitely recommend this Motor Inn.

Nice property good staff bathrooms could be upgraded at some time. handy to shops

Last minute booking due to ferry uncertainty. It wasn’t clear from the booking that this was an upstairs unit which meant quite a way to carry the bags. Unit had what I needed for a one night stay. Nice range of teas and coffees etc too. There is a laundry and a pool too which o didn’t use. Owner offered to store my bike in garage. initial Greeting wasn’t that friendly though and I didn’t appreciate the cleaner knocking on the door to check when I would be leaving as I was on track to leave well ahead of check out time. No restaurants within east walking distance as the speights ale house was closed.
