ドゥ ホーク マノール(De Hoek Manor)

Great location with excellent service and a clean comfortable facility

Just wanted a quick stopover whilst we visited some specific vineyards in the area and had walked past the hotel in the past. A small, comfortable hotel with spacious rooms. We had booked a Heritage View Room (on the 1st floor overlooking the church) but we put into a garden room which, although it had a private patio, had no views at all. We only realised once reception had closed and as we were only there for one night, didn't cause a fuss about it. Breakfast was lovely and the service great. Safe, secure parking across the road with security. If you don't need a pool but want to be in very easy walking distance to restaurants etc. stay here.

The room was very large and comfortable. It's a quaint property right opposite a Church (there are many many churches in Stellenbosch so I can't recall it's name) which tolls the bell every hour and half hour, it's not unpleasant but if you are a light sleeper it could affect you. This B&B is within walking distance of some great restaurants, galleries and shops in Stellenbosch and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.

De Hoek Manor is a Stellenbosch gem that never disappoints. If you’re thinking of staying at De Hoek Manor, here’s what you can expect: 1. You will feel welcomed by the top-notch hospitality; they are very accommodating, kind, and helpful. 2. A neat, tidy and clean environment. I couldn’t find anything to complain about. Their COVID preparations are thorough and effective. Everything looks pristine. 3. A elegantly designed room with a wide range of amenities. My room had authentic wood floors in and a glass-enclosed display of the raw brick wall. The rooms are so cosy that I almost couldn’t leave. Also, everything works. 4. The beautiful sounds of the Moederkerk as its bells sound out the hours throughout the day. Absolutely stunning! 5. Location, location, location! Everything is so close! You have direct walking access to some of Stellenbosch’s best restaurants and shops. Not to mention how lovely it is to see so much green in the trees throughout the town. It was a pleasure to stay with De Hoek Manor and I will definitely visit them again. I highly recommend staying there if you’re in Stellenbosch.

Sehr liebevoll geführtes kleines Manor von Ilse und ihren zwei Mitarbeiterinnen. Wir bekamen eine Vielzahl von Informationen. Zimmer und Bad waren groß genug, die Dusche sehr geräumig. Die Klimaanlage war sehr leise. Die Lage zur Innenstadt ist optimal, gerade um die Ecke. Wir haben uns sehr sicher und gut aufgehoben hier gefühlt. Das Frühstüc wurde liebevoll zubereitet. Das Käse-Bacon-Omelett ist empfehlenswert. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis war ausgezeichnet.
