Holiday Inn Aylesbury

The hotel's renovation proceeds well, with the vast majority of the building looking very smart with excellent facilities. I had to point out to the hotel, as is the case in many hotels globally, that changes in facilities and policies leave all textual information (eg. the online guide, menus, notices etc) out of date. I read the small print and asked for everything it promised but was not present. I asked for the missing sofa bed, safe, bathrobes, chocolates etc. The staff work tirelessly but are short handed for the task. While I was there new staff were being hired so all these matters are being addressed. I am indebted to duty manger Raj KC who went above and beyond in helping me cope with my problems, as an elderly man with fading eyesight and hearing, and medical challenges typical of my age group in Britain, in sending a 30 kilogram item I bought to the North West. I very much appreciated his advice and assistance and wish him all the best in his future career.

Pool was cold. Bedroom was cosy and slept so well. Breakfeast was tasty but lacked muffin cakes.

Nice place to stay. Good service. Just one negative: we went for breakfast at 9am on Saturday, and there was very little food left, which was rather disappointing. Overall, we'd be happy to stay again

The best Holiday Inn I’ve stayed so far. Raj on the reception was professional, helpful with the great sense of humour. Breakfast staff just great, just the lady at the reception in the morning didn’t bother to ask how was my stay and I had an impression that she was keen to see me go… Room tidy and comfortable (bed, pillows, etc), delicious breakfast, everything cooked to the perfection, even fresh orange juice and poached eggs available :) It would be perfect but the squeaky bathroom door hinges and squirty shower hose could be easily fixed ;)

Staff we so welcoming and helpful. Restaurant staff went above and beyond. Food was good, cleanliness to a high standard & fabulous use of the pool. Thanks to reception staff for booking a taxi.

Got put in a disabled room and the hotel was not prepared to change us. Was very disappointed that are friends had paid less booked later and got a hotel suite.

Bed was confortable, and the bedroom was spacious , but the toilet didn’t flush very well , bar was expensive

Once again we stayed with you, everything was as usual excellent, although we requested a room close to reception because of our mobility and age, we were allocated a disabled room, the room it’s self was excellent but the huge wet room bathroom was absolutely freezing with no heat. We only needed a room close to the amenities, not the full blown disabled facilities, we wouldn’t like to take the room away from a guest who needed it.

The hotel was nice. Reception, bar and restaurant areas looked lovely but the rooms and corridors looked dated. Staff in the bar and restaurant very slow and in experienced, some of the need to learn to smile no matter how hard their day is.
