Our stay started off with us tired after long drive. We checked in around 8pm only to hear the neighbors through the thin walls. We wanted to sower and get some rest before having to get up very early for business event that we were in town for. There was 3 of us registered and found only two small towels. Called to front desk for more towels and told someone would bring some. After 30 minutes no one had came. Called back asked again. Waited again…. Still no one came Called back third time and was told room service had ended and no one to bring towels we would have to come to front desk to get them, but girl was getting off shift and would bring them in a few minutes. Finally got towels and was going to start showers when a fight broke out in the next room between a man and woman. After it getting really heated we called back to front desk and told about fight, didn’t know if we should call police or what. Was told they would take care of. Employee showed up to their door within a couple minutes then police showed up. We called the front desk and asked to be moved to a different room was put on hold. The third time calling and asked to be moved because we didn’t feel safe to stay in the room in case the man came back with a gun or something, we were told both people were being removed from the room. Finally after 3 hours at 1am of the whole disturbance the people finally got all their belongings and left with the police. We asked the manager what they could do for us for the disturbance and he told us to go to sleep and he would talk to us in the morning and hung up the phone. Upon checking out we told the woman at the front desk about the night before and we only got a couple hours of sleep because of the whole situation. We asked what they could do to compensate us for the major disruption. She didn’t say a word, she picked up her calculator and then proceeded to say she refunded the $100 deposit (which we would get back anyway) and took of $16.79. That’s it? WHAT A JOKE! No concern or compassion. She states those people had been there 3-4 months and she didn’t know what happened? It was not our fault we asked to be moved at the beginning of the whole thing and was ignored. We were so tired and had a long day ahead of us and a long drive home that night. It ruined our whole trip!
Brand new finishes and furnishings. Clean, odor free room. Quiet room and quiet A/C. Friendly staff and easy check-in. Able to use my Hilton Honors dollars toward stay which ended up covering for the $75 fee to have my corgi dog stay in the room. We would have boarded her with dog sitter for $45, but it was a last minute Thanksgiving trip. We’re glad we brought our corgi along as she gave great joy to our relative who was ill. Exceptional breakfast. Consistent quality in all our Hampton stays. Only regret is that they had a fitness center, but no pool. Not really critical in November though.
We arrived early and called to see if they had a room ready for early check in. The front desk employee was friendly and very helpful. He offered us a free upgrade to a king Xl room on the third floor. The hotel is very clean and looks new. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows were amazing. I wanted to take two of them home with me. There is a fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. The shower is nice and hot. There is a nice pool and small but good fitness room. They have free coffee in the lobby 24/7 and cookies in the evening. Our only complaint is the breakfast never changes. It was the same thing every morning. Strange looking egg thing, sausage patty that tasted okay but looks weird like it’s not cooked enough and some potatoes. They have Waffles, cereal, toast and pastries. The breakfast was disappointing. Overall it was a great stay and I would recommend this location for your stay in Stuart.
We always love coming here but we were disappointed this last visit. There were ants in the coffee machine. We didn’t bother using it and did advise the front desk. Customer service was great and replaced it but we did not want to use it. The grounds looked very unkept. The cabanas had no roof like it did in the past. Just 4 chairs in a circle. There was a used contact on the table next to our bed. The bedroom was very hot compared to the living room. We had to keep the door open for ventilation. We were provided only 1 toilet paper roll. Guest services gave us more upon request but that was a first for us at any hotel. The area around the pool looked moldy and dirty at the sandpiper building. It definitely needs a power wash. The awning in the lobby/area between the hotel rooms seems run down and had dark spots (sandpiper building) Pros: Our room was very clean. The service at the pool bar was great. They gave us our room by 12pm which was a plus. Our view was beautiful. Unfortunately we were disappointed.
I had a wonderful perfect stay! I can't tell you how incredibly grateful I am for the week and a half I just spent with you all 🙏. My dad had a housefire, so I have a lot going on up in upstate New York, working seventeen hour days. I really needed to unplug and de-stress, I absolutely was able to do that!!! ! I could not believe how incredibly respectful the staff was, especially in the morning. I live on the road one third of the year, and I have never had the luxury or ability of being able to sleep in, usually because the staff are so noisy going about their business in the morning. Not this place. so incredibly quiet that several mornings I accidentally slept in way past the time I wanted to actually get up, trying not to freak out as I'm looking at the alarm clock indicating it's almost noon because it was just that quiet. I think that's incredible with consideration that the hotel was at 100% occupancy just about the entire time I was there! 👏 I wanted to make it known how incredibly grateful I was to Kayla, who personally oversaw a few aspects of my stay, for example my wanting to extend on two separate occasions. It is very difficult to find people who actually do their job anymore post Covid, most of them seeming to attempt to get away with the bare minimum with respect to their jobs, and how it impacts the hotels I stay in. This young lady went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure a personal matter that I was concerned about was handled perfectly. Post covid, I am quite used to having to double check after people, however, I dare say my concerns had been handled brilliantly, with that old familiar level of professionalism that we all took for granted pre-Covid, where every i dotted and t crossed! So very rare to come across such exceptional levels of professionalism these days, let alone a complete stranger, choosing to go the extra mile for me!! Management material right there!! For this random act of kindness, I had expressed how truly grateful I was to Kayla, who was so humble about it all. I'm pretty sure she was the only one on duty throughout the night, and still took on my personal matter for me, despite all her other many tasks, she demonstrated nothing more than authentic sincerity and gratitude of her being able to be there for me. Such an honor and privilege to come across such a remarkable human being!! 🙏🙏🙏
Please read the reviews before you book a stay. Unfortunately, I didn't. Every negative comment you read in the reviews is true, and I can add more. When we checked in for our two-night stay, the first thing I did after entering our room was to switch on the reading light hanging near a comfortable chair. The light did not work. The desk clerk came in to replace the light bulb only to find that the reading light had never been wired for use. The in-room coffee maker did not work, so I went back to the lobby for coffee which, of course, was cold. I took the coffee to the room to heat it in the microwave. I opened the door and began to set the cup on the glass plate when I realized that the microwave had already begun working before I closed the door. Yikes! The ice machine in the hallway worked fine, but the tray covering the drain was missing. One of the positives of the room was that it was quiet. The night clerk, who was very nice and patient with us, had assured us that it would be quiet. Unfortunately for the hotel, it appeared that her replacement was being trained the next day. We expect more of Holiday Inn Express and don't know why this Stuart location has been allowed to continue to operate. Reviews have been negative for years.
