ザ ボアーズ ヘッド ホテル(The Boars Head Hotel)

I met family from Australia here and we had a very good evening. The service was first class and food was excellent, particularly the dessert, see pic below!!!!My overnight stay was also very good and the breakfast next day was great.

Good location for Alton Towers, but not much nearby. Service was mixed - duty managers were good and very helpful. Bar staff were average, breakfast staff were below average. They only have one member of staff for breakfast, which is not great if there are more than a few guests. They also charge extra for hash browns in the full English breakfast. The hotel room and restaurant were clean and tidy. Rooms do not have air con and the heating was on high, no way to turn down the radiators without assistance, but unfortunately the reception closes at around 10pm. Overall our stay was adequate but we probably won't be returning.

Fantastic local accommodation. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and comfy. The on-site bar and dining was also very good. We enjoyed fresh ingredients and good quality food on all of our visits. The staff were fantastic here too! Overall an excellent choice of local accommodation, reasonably close to nearby attractions. We highly recommend.

Its a lovely hotel and the staff are amazing but the bathroom in our room was very tried and two different tiles with cracks in them!

The staff were excellent. Really friendly and helpful. Food in restaurant was very good. Good value too. Room was large and comfortable. I was on first floor and floorboards were very squeaky and walls to neighbouring room thin so I was conscious of disturbing other guests, particularly as I had an early start in the morning.

The staff were helpful and very friendly. The meals were reasonably priced with a good choice , very well presented and tasty.

The accommodation and food was excellent and I will definitely stay here again! I had rm 26 which is a separate building off the car park and it had a lovely soft mattress and a large space within.

Check-in was easy with helpful staff. Our room on the ground floor was very comfortable large room with King size bedding. A TV was provided in the room but was not used. The wifi was very poor during our stay (afternoon in particular) as it would continue to drop our every 3 to 4 minutes, but that may be caused by other issues outside the control of the hotel. Otherwise a good comfortable hotel to stay in.

Great place for price staff very helpful. Good excellent roast dinner and breakfast.
