Premier Inn Birmingham North (S.Coldfield)

The hotel is small but since it was a nearby hotel to my relatives in Sutton Coldfield. However, overall the hotel is not bad and quiet, the restaurant provides a wide variety of British brewage

I stayed at Glasgow Premier Inn a couple of years back & was very impressed. When I booked online, I was given the impression that my room would be the same as in Glasgow. As it turned out, my room was miserably small and cramped (particularly the shower), and I would not have booked at Premier Inn had I known how poor my room would be. Walking down the passageway I did notice that the other rooms were (all??) better than mine - so I feel very cheated and disgruntled. I booked in JANUARY. Surely I could have been allocated something decent. I did not enjoy having to book a precise time for breakfast and was upset that on the Bank Holiday Monday normal Monday hours prevailed and that I could not sleep in a bit. Extremely punctually at 10:00 on Sunday, indeed BY 10:00, everything was cleared away, so that one could no longer even get tea. I have travelled in 41 countries and have never received such regimented and unpleasant breakfast service. To add insult to injury, the restaurant staff were very curt and unfriendly. Moreover, the food was poor. On Sunday the black pudding was inedible and the hash brown was soggy. On Monday I did not order the black pudding but I will admit that the hash brown was very good. I also ordered bubble & squeak instead – but never received it. The continental portion of the breakfast was uninspiring and not very good. The yoghurt was like water – I then noticed there was a hole in the lid. I then took another & it was fine. I regret staying at the Premier Inn and won’t do so again in the future.

This is the best hotel in the country. Kathy is absolutely amazing she makes you feel sooooo welcome and will cater to your needs. We come here for a good night and the white horse pub makes it a great stay. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

We haven’t been back to the midlands for a few years but visiting family the weekend we decided to book a premier inn. This was a bit different to the others as they don’t have their own breakfast but it was ok. The staff were really nice and helpful and the room was just as expected. Would definitely stay here again as it was convenient for where we needed to visit.

Booked an accessible room . We have done this at other Premier Inns and alway the bed was wheelchair accessible either side . Unfortunately , in this room (no. 18) neither side was accessible plus bed very low . I had to use a walker which made it awkward for me when needing to get up during the night .. Otherwwise , room was fine , great wet room etc. No net at window so had to keep curtains closed all day as over looked car park . Not their usual standard but still ok for the money paid.

A very comfortable overnight stay in an accessible room. All we needed and the early check in was so smoothly arranged as we travelled south via Kerry. A warm welcome awaited us: the room was spacious and clean; the bed extremely comfortable and the accessibility was everything we could have asked for with wet room facilities and great supports for the shower and toilet. Good hot water! . Tea and coffee facilities readily available. Breakfast next door in the restaurant was good quality and with good service.

Lovely clean room and friendly staff, hotel is in a great location for Sutton town centre. We ate in the pub which was also clean and the staff were friendly. The room was quiet at night so we were all able to get a good night sleep. I would recommend this hotel.

A good standard hotel- once I found it. The signage outside was a little difficult to see and I must have driven past it a number of times. Cleaning of the room needed more attention. Staff were really friendly. I had a take away meal from the pub next door- it wasn’t really worth the money. Continental breakfast wasn’t really continental- a few pastries and fruit isn’t quite there, but it is often what budget hotels class as continental

Rented a room at this Premier Inn for 1 night for a Spa Day (booked nearby). On returning to the room after dinner, we pulled the sheets back on the bed to find bed bugs (mites) on the sheets. We immediately left the room and were offered a replacement room but left the hotel as we weren't comfortable it was clean. Receptionist was unable to provide any level of compensation beyond free breakfast or Wi-Fi. 3 days later we have not been refunded.
