So lovely small and romantic boutique hotel in the old town just in front of the University of Tartu. We stayed in a room on the 4th floor with a great view of the old town rooftops, which I really enjoyed. I loved the beds and pillows—had the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. I especially loved the check-in process—everything was managed through the app. I used my phone to open the door and chat with registration - order food, request extra pillows, and even arrange a late check-out. They answered immediately. It was all very convenient. The hotel itself is a small, but the rooms were really spacious. When we arrived, the shower floor was cold, but we discovered it was possible to turn on the floor heating—this made a big difference and was much better! The breakfast was tasty and in the cozy restaurant, great coffee and the option to order various hot meals.
My experience was pleasant throughout my stay. The location of the hotel is great, right on Town Hall Square. The room was relatively clean with new amenities, although there wasn't a king size bed and we had to put two beds together. Breakfast is worth mentioning, with pancake, which I really liked, and very good yoghurt. It would have been a near perfect experience, but something incredible happened when I checked out. I missed a handbag in the room because of the large amount of luggage. I returned to the hotel two hours later to enquire and was told that ”nothing other than RUBBISH was left in the room”, which I was shocked to hear, as the bag contained at least one whole cigarette (which my friend had commissioned me to buy from a Chinese duty free shop), a whole box of Chinese tea, a bag of expensive Chinese hot pot base, some chocolates and other items! . I didn't call the police for time reasons, but I chose to publicise this fact here, which I think is a shame for any hotel.
This hotel has been around forever. It's now aspiring to play with the big boys in town. We stayed in the new wing and were pleased with practically everything. The room was excellent. My only gripes were with the bathroom. There is one light above the sink, which means that one side of the face is illuminated in the mirror, the other side is dark. I've never seen that. They can install one or two more. This must drive women crazy who are trying to apply make-up. Also, don't understand why a hotel doesn't use pop-up sink stoppers. What is the purpose of a sink if the water can't be stopped from draining out? The breakfast was fine. Definitely recommend and looking forward to a few things being straightened out in the bathroom.
The breakfast struck me as unusally good for a mid-range hotel.I had a standard street-facing room and did not find the traffic noise to be disruptive or even noticeable (though it probably would be with the fresh-air vent window open). It was a good place for a single-night stay on a business trip. The central location is really convenient.
Our stay at V Spa & Conference Hotel was as pleasant as it can get. We´re a family of 5 and therefore had the biggest room with extra bed. The room was very beautiful and spacious, beds comfortable. We enjoyed the spa and saunas. Also the breakfast was very good!
