The room was nice and clean and comfortable. Good clean kitchen and bathroom. Close to main road and way to get onto to go into town. Shops and petrol station across the road. Had pool close to my room which was great but I hasn’t bought my swimsuit!
Photos are great, but room was not as expected. Executive King, was far from executive. Shower was old with yellowing formica walls, had security light outside keep going off and shining into room, no blinds to stop this. Pillows all mismatched in shape and size, the two singles to create a large bed meant a hard high bit right in the middle of the bed. So not the best for couples. No Sky only netflix. Had a young boy literally stare at us the entire time when leaving, made me feel uncomfortable. If this was detailed as a standard, i'd be ok, but there was nothing executive about this. Lady was lovely when checking in. But was still disappointed with quality, wasn't what I would have expected for an ”Executive King Room”. Also to note, is in a flight path, so lots of low flying plane noise.
I’ll be honest, I expected much more from this Quest after reading the reviews here on Tripadvisor. However, expectations were not met. I paid $400 for a one night stay here (2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit on the ground floor, literally at the front entrance of the apartment and next to the reception area). Car park was not even included, which cost $15 a night extra. The apartment was very dated. The carpets were not clean and truly, I think they need to be changed. The occasional furnitures felt like an afterthought in the apartment, and the sofas were, you guess it, not the cleanest, and should be changed too in my opinion. The TV was placed in such a way that we had to move the sofa to face the TV - truly bizarre. The bathrooms were really dated and one of the toilet seat’s soft close mechanism was broken. The apartment was nowhere being modern/luxurious and I would say it is very basic. However, they are clearly not charging you at a basic rate for their units. Something is clearly not adding up here. On a positive note, the location of the apartment is such that it is within walking distance to a lot of good eateries.
Loved this hotel! Simon was very welcoming and incredibly accommodating especially with providing a cot for our toddler and making sure we had enough blankets etc for him. Beds were super comfy, carpet nice and plush, everything is new! Also loved the eco aspect of the whole place with sensor lighting etc which felt very modern as well as being excellent for the environment. Loved the room access on ground level straight to the carpark which was handy for pram (and I’m assuming wheelchair) access. Would highly recommend!
Stayed with my mother in a Exec King Room with twin beds. It's a good quality, apartment style hotel. The room was really spacious, comfortable beds, a spa bath, and thoughtful provisions such as coffee press, make up wipes and drinking water. Was disappointed to be informed at check-in that parking was not included, and charged at $10/day. Something to note is that the surrounding area, and Tauranga in general has an huge amount of construction underway, this didn't disturb our stay, however it means there are lots of building activity, traffic cones and many retail shops not open. If you are travelling for a short stay or business this hotel is great. If you are after a relaxing holiday or longer stay, suggest staying over the bridge at Mt Maunganui.
ゲゲストWe stayed here for 3 nights as part of our NZ trip. It provided all the facilities and care of a hotel with the intimate personal attention of a B&B. Out hosts were just wonderful and everything that we could possibly have needed was there. Our room was a reasonable size, good big bathroom and you have the use of a communal living room and balcony. We even had a load of washing done for a very small fee of $10. The breakfast was amazing - we expected a small continental type breakfast but received that and an amazing cooked one too. Location is perfect and a short drive to the centre and Mount Maunganui. Definitely no hesitation in recommending a stay at Seascape.
This place is amazing. The units are newly renovated, VERY clean and VERY functional! All the cooking facilities you need, even a coffee maker and milk frother. The beds are comfy, the AC unit works a treat, the couch and chair nice and soft, and the hosts! Theyre so friendly and amazing. I loved my stay here and when back in Tauranga I will most definitely be staying here again. There is roadworks right outside and couldnt hear anything once inside. Its literally 2 minutes from the hospital, even with heavy traffic and alot of roadworks. Just an absolute pleasure staying here. P.S. To the hotel hosts and staff..i was meant to leave a note before we left as we left before the office opened. But thank you so much for making what is usually a very hectic time for us a real breeze. We felt very comfortable and looked after. I wish all the best things for you guys! Thanks again.
ゲゲストWe stayed 1 night at this motel. The room looked like it had been renovated recently-ish. It was bright, simple and clean. The bathroom was quite good as it had a seperate room for the toilet. The motel had assigned parking. The parking spots were a bit small and I would be concerned if someone brought a big car to park there as they might find it difficult The squeeze around parked cars. Staff were friendly too.
Ddidee62Stayed for 7 nights in a Pilot Bay Harbour view room,We could watch the cruise ships come in and all other harbor life we got late afternoon sun.Would recommended harbour view over a partial ocean view.Excellent security, you can’t get to reception even when you arrive there is a intercom to use to contact reception, check in was easy super fast and the young lady at reception was really nice,Very secure tag system to get in and out of building and lifts.Nice pool. The only down side was our room was quite dated and a spring clean needed but in saying that WiFi was excellent and with 60 sky channels great if you have a wet day,bed very comfy,Beaumont is close to everything bars/restaurants/hot pools and the bus service if you need a bus.We would definitely return but would ask for an updated apartment. Thanks Beaumont for an enjoyable stay
ゲゲストBooked last minute as a birthday treat. Did not realise on booking that you had to check in before 6pm, I called at 5.55 to let them know we were 10 minutes alway but no answer. Arrived just after 6pm, had to call the after hours we were meet by a man, we had already prepaid the room which was $266 for a bottom floor, one bedroom apartment. He told us we needed to pay a bond which I assumed would be $50-$100. We had to pay a $250 bond upfront to stay here. That was our dinner and activities money for the night. So had to cancel our plans. The room was dated, there was no body/hair wash left. There was no milk in the fridge so couldn't make a hot drink. As others have mentioned there are signs all over the room about extra charges, if you ring them after 9pm for anything you will get charged, if you leave anything in the room you will be charged and even more unnecessary fees. Tiny rubbish bin. The room was a good size but the headboard on the double bed isn't attached so everytime you turn over it bangs and so when you are there for a child free night you can imagine how much it was banging. It was right next to the road and it was a raining miserable night and it was loud, cars driving past, people walking/running past you can hear everything, image it during the busy season. The noise from the above room you can here people walking around. We were quite disappointed so I had a look at the other reviews this morning and I really wish I had of read them before booking here :( On check out which you had to wait as they are only there at reception between 8.30-10am on weekends. I asked the man to refund my $250 bond and he said that he can't and it won't be refunded until about Tuesday but it can take 10 business days. We had said about the missing amenities and he didn't care. Then we asked about all the bad reviews and he started getting angry. My husband reliased we had left a bag in the room and wanted to go get it and as we were approaching the room my husband made a comment about no wonder you have so many bad reviews and he told my husband to shut his mouth and he locked the room door and said to get out! He was not going to allow us to go back into the room to get our things. And said to ring the police if we wanted our stuff back. By this stage my husband was really mad and I ended up needing to call the police so they could go get our stuff from the room. Our uber driver had shown up and manager/man on reception had disappeared and some other lady that was obviously to what was happening came out and I said can I just get the key and I'll go get our stuff since we don't actually have to check out until 10am and she was saying I can't, I don't know what is happening. A couple minutes later she comes back in with our bag and continued to argue. Even the uber driver heard it and he is a 70 year old man and he came in to the reception and said they should not of been treating customer how they treated us. I will be going to
