We stayed in the gîtes right next to the chateau, because we were in the company of our three boys. We have visited many chateau’s over the years, and never did we feel so comfortable and welcome. A little piece of paradise, nestled in a beautiful and calm countryside, with many walks in the woods with maps and descriptions of historic figures who have walked the same steps hundreds of years ago. Do not expect stuffy and snobby, Loïc and Caroline are wonderfully welcoming and offer a warm and stunning stay into another time. The chateau itself has exquisite details that the Ternay family has taken much care of over the years. An unforgettable experience for our family. We look forward to our next stay there and thank our hosts for their warm welcome.

WOW! Loved our stay at Chateau de Ternay - we wanted to stay in a chateau during our family vacation to France, and this was perfect! This is the real deal - a chateau that has been in the host's family for centuries, with all the furnishings and decor that makes it authentic. This is not one of those that has been all modernized with brand new furniture, luxury spa and gourmet restaurant. If that's what you want, look elsewhere. But if you want to feel like you're really staying in an actual chateau, this is your place. And it's so lovely - tall ceilings, big fireplaces, majestic beds, imposing staircase. A true highlight was the tour with our utterly charming host - we got to see private areas of the chateau (he and his wife live there), such as the family chapel, and learned the history of the property and his family.

Luogo indescrivibile per la bellezza e le emozioni che trasmette. Noi avevamo la camera al pianterreno, enorme e splendida; un bagno moderno e funzionale con phon. Ottimi la qualità del sonno, la pace e la tranquillità. Grande parco all’esterno della struttura, io l’ho un po’ esplorato in compagnia di uno dei due cani della casa (estremamente amorevoli e dolci) con la mappa che viene fornita. Colazione conviviale in una delle sale del castello. Il proprietario una persona squisita e disponibile ad ogni genere di consiglio sia sul castello che sui dintorni. Viene fornito un elenco esaustivo di ristoranti raggiungibili a 10/15 minuti di auto, noi lo abbiamo sempre utilizzato per cene nelle vicine Loudon e Thouars. Piscina molto carina, che per meteo incerto sfortunatamente non abbiamo utilizzato. Soggiornare qui è stato un privilegio, e lo consigliamo vivamente. Grazie di tutto

Muy mal, empecemos por qué no nos quisieron entender y hoy en día con Google traductor es muy sencillo. La habitación no estaban mal, había muchos trastos por medio que eran inecesarios y la habitación parecía muy pequeña. Otra cosa si duermo en un castillo y pago un dineral me gusta poder ver el castillo. Cosa qué no me dejó el dueño del lugar, pues entre en una habitación al lado del único salón qué nos dejaron estar y entró detrás y empezó a despotricar en francés. Le comento que si estamos alojados en el castillo lo más normal es ver sus estancia, pues no! Teníamos que pagar la visita, de verdad después de pagar 150 euros por una noche encima me quieren hacer pagar la visita!!! Muy mal, pero qué muy mal. No lo recomiendo para nada. No ir os van a tomar el pelo.

Nous avons passé une nuit dans ce très beau château, accueil agréable et simple des propriétaires, petit déjeuner copieux, dans la très belle salle a manger. Moment de convivialité partagé avec d'autres clients . Grande chambre avec terrasse et magnifique vue sur le parc, authentique avec beaucoup de charme. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la visite guidée, incontournable pour connaître l'histoire de ce merveilleux endroit, raconté avec passion et humour par Loic le propriétaire accompagné de ses 2 terribles molosses qui nous ont suivis dans cette passionnante visite. Merci à vous pour votre accueil en espérant avoir donné envie au plus grand nombre de venir découvrir cet endroit magique hors du temps

Accueil chaleureux, les propriétaires sont d'une extrême gentillesse. La visite du château avec le propriétaire est génial avec son humour. Les chambres sont spacieuse et les lits confortables. Petits déjeuner copieux, merci pour ce moment passé avec vous.
