great view from balcony/room, amazing sunset over the atlantic coastline, very friendly attendance, great guest feeling, personal attendance for questions, large room, comfortable bed, our ebikes were stored secure, good price/service/location ratio

How does a restaurant get Starred by Michelin when its entire ala carte menu consists of 3 fish and 1 quasi meat alternatives? Lovely space, nice staff but oh so slow and inconsistent service. Extremely long waits between courses. Gimmicky amuse bouches can not overcome the lack of entree choices. Should guests be expected to reach to pour more water? Wine List seems to think Bio ( organic) grown wines are now best and preferred by customers. Had 3 meals in unstarred Paris restaurants such as Voltaire and Recaimer that were superior to this 1*.

The restaurant is excellent, everything else is run down and needs a major overhaul: - old stinking carpets everywhere, plenty of visible of stains - smelly rooms (room 20 smelled cigarette, room 21 smelled butter because of the kitchen exhaust nearby) - poor service (incapable of booking a cab, no one at the bar in the afternoon, plenty of laundry around the premises) - bad value for money: 680€/day room only Huge disappoin**ent, hopefully relais & châteaux will intervene to improve the situation!!

Superb food and accommodation. We had a suite with lovely balcony and sea view . Great place to drive from and see great villages and tourists spots around . Family run with great staff. Restaurant Michelin standard - went out second night - might have prefer a lighter “bistro” option on site for second night (?) Lovely ambience / furniture and style throughout .. I read some of early criticisms of decor etc …And they are nonsense - presumably written by someone more used to a plastic 3 star chain rather than and elegant individually styled hotel !!!

Fantastic views, even when the fog rolls in you know that you are somewhere special. Excellent location and easy walking distance to the town and great walking/hiking/biking opportunities as well. If you want the best of France and want to have some peace and calming, then this is the place. Outstanding area, beauty, wild and friendly.

Beautiful hotel with marvellous views and wonderful restaurant. The staff were really helpful and accommodating; a lovely experience.

The location of the hotel is just sublime. Everything was about perrrrrfect, from the first to the last moment. One of the best hotels, we’ve ever stayed at. The dinners were excellent, the sommelier’s choice of wine pas a perfect match. The receptionists were very helpful , friendly and competent. The waiters , apart from the maitre d’, were all competent as well. We would gladly return there.

The reception staff were delightful. The dining room staff were unremarkable and rather distant. We had wanted to dine in the main dining room but were consigned at dinner to eat in the breakfast room. The meal was good but there was very little ambience. We had asked for a luggage rack and never got one. It was miserably hot without air conditioning. We had a lovely view from our superior room, but actually thought we would have found better value and more satisfaction with a terrace room on the ground floor. The breakfast was fine, but rather meager compared to other hotels of this calibre. We would not choose to visit again.

What a fabulous hotel! The room was great with lovely sea views. The food was excellent and the service was fun and friendly but efficient. The owner was around to make sure everything ran smoothly - and she makes a wonderful cocktail. Reception could not have been more helpful. It was very useful to be able to charge the electric car. Would definitely go again.
