We had two nights booked at this hotel but when we arrived discovered there was a mistake in dates on ******* and they had no room for us the first night and it was dark and late. Like most of TX, all known hotels were full due to graduations, etc., and the staff worked diligently to try to find us rooms, any rooms. We hung out for hours since nowhere to go. At the eleventh hours, two rooms became available and we were in, and Joel, who was on duty and our new BFF, not only called the one place that had rooms and cancelled them for us, but also gave us a considerable discount. He is a prince and knows how to charm people with his interesting sense of humor. His colleague, whose name I did not get, helped us cancel the ******* res. and rebook with this hotel. Great hotel, decent breakfast, and the fact that it is located smack in the middle of a new outdoor mall is another bonus. Our other hotel experience in Denton, TX, did not measure up and was a ”Best” Western ( I will forever use quotation marks if ever I speak of BW hotels again). Maybe this Hampton spoiled us with their excellent and caring staff and fair pricing.
Pleasantly surprised at the quality and cleanliness of this Hilton garden inn. My family was here for a graduation weekend and we had 3 rooms. All were clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and gave us the extra towels and things we needed. My only complaints were that housekeeping is every other morning and the rooms only had three bath towels. After realizing that housekeeping wouldn’t be coming we went to ask for additional towels and coffee Supplies. All in all great economy lodging. We will definitely stay again when visiting our East Texas relatives.
From the moment we walked in the door until the moment we checked out, our stay was excellent. Front desk was welcoming. The hotel is located in a quiet area. The beds and pillows were VERY comfortable. The room was clean. My husband realized he forgot his toothbrush and toothpaste. I went to the desk and was handed the needed items with a smile. The breakfast was SO GOOD! There was a large selection of items and the staff was wonderful - even on check-out day when we didn't arrive until 9am to eat - everything was fully stocked. The hotel felt very safe. We love to travel to Tyler a few times a year to get away. This will be our go-to hotel.
From the awesome Customer Service, starting with Armando, John, Shakeem, and the icing on the cake was Ms. Rebecca. These four people are the epitome of what Customer Service should be, my husband had a surgical procedure, and instead of driving back to Dallas, approximately 140 miles one way we decided to check into getting a room at Comfort Inn on Reick Rd in Tyler, TX. The Staff eased my worries, and made me comfortable. The room was very clean and it made us feel like we were at home. The room was set up very comfortable, and effectively, it met our every need.
I highly recommend the Thomas Hotel! I found the staff to be very kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating! The location was perfect for me as I had business in the downtown area. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance. I was also impressed that they had developed relationships with the local restaurants and guests could order food without having to leave the hotel. I found the lobby area to be a great place for meetings. The Hotel was perfect for me and I will certainly stay here whenever I have business in Tyler!
The location was perfect, easy to find, and parking was easily available for handicapped guests. The room had a lot of outlets for charging devices and lighting was plentiful. The shower was fine for me, but my husband complained about the water pressure. The breakfast was okay, but had too many carbs. The robust coffee was good but it ran out fast. The cleanliness of the hotel left much to be desired. Carpet, both in the hallways, and in the room, were filthy in places. Fresh towels had to be obtained at the front desk. The same with the shampoo. Soap came in the form of tiny pieces. We had to request room service and when she stopped by, she only gave us towels. No soap. No shampoo. She never. Cleaned the room. We had overflowing wastebaskets. My question is, when did the Hilton hotel chain become a budget hotel? I used to love staying at the Hi,Tom Garden Inns, but not so much the Hilton Homewood suites. The free water was great because we were going to a baseball championship and needed cold water in the 100 degree heat.
SSharleen CamposWas charged an extra fee for needing to check in a little early because we came in for our granddaughter graduation and would have missed the window of check in. Plus our coffee pot cracked and started leaking every where after the first us. Could use with some renovation, especially the stairs...Terrible!!!!
