We were welcomed by the owner as if we were family and our stay here had that exact same vibe throughout. We were cooked the most amazing traditional Sri Lanka dinner before retiring to our room for the night. The room had its own balcony, basic bathroom and two huge beds. There was air con or fan and tea & coffee making facilities. It was basic but just what we needed for a one night stay. We had an early start and the hotel organised our half day trip to the Udawalawe national park which was the most incredible experience. After that we called in at the elephant orphanage before heading back to the Safari house for a monster of a breakfast. We would highly recommend this hotel as a base for the Udawalawe national park. The hosts were incredible and nothing was too much trouble.
I spent 2 nights in the Centauria Wild. It is a luxurious safari experience. The resort is at few meters of the national park. From the terrace we can see elephants in the park. Personnel is very professional. Nice swimmingpool very warm. Breakfast could be improved with more choice but it is good. Hotel books for you the Jeep for the safari and taxi to continue the travel. I recommend
