La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham USF (Near Busch Gardens)

The staff are great and friendly. The facility itself is old and dirty. Carpet in our room and on the floor are dirty and full of stains. The sofa is filled with stains. Overall, this place gave us an uncomfortable and unhealthy stay. We will not be coming back to this hotel again if no upgrades would happen. The Holiday Inn next door looks new and presents a more cleaner, healthier option.

Staff was very friendly, hotel was clean, bed not so comfortable though, did not get a good nights sleep, but its not necessarily the bed. Breakfast ends at 09:00 some people don't wake tell then. that's just a heads up not a complaint.

Room was clean and surprisingly spacious, check in was quick and easy, area around the hotel was quiet(ish) and seemed safe, was a quick and easy drive to Busch Gardens, I’m so glad I read the reviews of the area and stayed away from hotels in the immediate vicinity of Busch Gardens (the reviews we’re correct…the area on Busch Dr was sketchy)…in conclusion this hotel was great for our trip

The room I was put in the first night was filthy. Stains on the carpet, burn holes in the curtains, smelly sheets, and a chair that looked like it had been picked up from a trash container and put into the room. It smelled like chemicals and nicotine so strongly, it irritated my sinuses.

The staff were attentive and very friendly and the breakfast was great however, the room left much to be desired. The carpet was filthy and sticky, there was hair in the bathtub, the couch had more stains on it than I could count… it was not suitable for sitting on at all. It appeared that the third floor (where we were staying) had been forgotten. It wasn’t our worst hotel experience but for the price we paid, I’d expect a full renovation before we’d stay there again.

Property needs an interior upgrade from furnishings, bath, carpets, fridge..etc. it’s smells old.

We had to wait 20 minutes at the front desk to check-in because there was nobody. I even called at the reception and I was able to hear the phone rings for 15 minutes. Nobody picked up the phone. The breakfast was supposed to be between 6am and 9am. There was nothing before 7h30am. 1 hour and a half late. We felt like they really don't care.

Pros: friendly, helpful front desk and good location near USF. Cons: Dirty sofa unfit for use as either sofa or sofa bed, roaches in bathroom at night, hair dryer that came apart in my hands and caused hair damage.

The employees were all so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would for sure stay there again. The only down point, was the pool and hot tub were closed and my 16 yr old, wanted to swim.
