Nice hotel in easily accessible location in city centre. Lovely, clean and modern room in newer side. Nice play room for children. Good breakfast in a beuatiful breakfast room. It was a bit inconvenient having to go to breakfast and reception across the road outside, especially with a toddler.

Most unflexible service - Not possible to do check in at 02:30 p.m., despite room being available. When adressing staff in Swedish, answer was without exception in English. This in an bilingual city with approx 30 % native speeking Swedish citzens!

Hotel has seen it's better days, good location near railway station and city center. Rooms needs little "facelift" We had family room with sauna and jacuzzi, it was nice room and comfortable beds but you can see it is old hotel. Breakfast was good, only one coffee machine and there was long line... Receptionist was friendly and fast.

Excellent hotel, generous breakfast, wonderful staff and service. Private jacuzzi and sauna were the highlights of the visit. The hotel is close to the city center. The beds were too soft for us, but someone might like those. However, we loved it.

Fantastic staff and nice hotel and restaurant. Celebrated 80th birthday in the restaurant and stayed at the hotel. Everything was resolved without any problems. I can really recommend this hotel and restaurant Qvarken.

Nice location. Stayed a few nights. Started well enough, but when the crowds arrived, it became rather unpleasant. The place is congested, elevators are slow, too many people come down for breakfast at the same time, food runs out and staff struggle to cope. It is impossible to access reception or get into or out of the building when the coaches arrive. The large bed was not terribly comfortable, the pillow are ready flimsy, and the cleaning had not been done on my last day (was told too many guests to cope). Asked for late checkout which was not possible due to too many guest. Breakfast on the last day, ran out of food, and was was left was rather unappealing. Shame about the unpleasant experience. One of the server kept coughing over the food during breakfast. We were glad to be out of the place....

Old part of Scandic hotel in Vaasa is really good place to stay. I spent there one week and it was pleasure to be there. Room was equipped with sauna and jacuzzi, all was clean and nice. Breakfasts were tasty with broad choice of meals. Staff is friendly and helpful. Next time - only scandic.
