エスタンシア ロス プラタノス(Estancia Los Platanos)

We loved our stay at Estancia Los Platanos: beautiful landscapes, delicious food, super friendly hosts, interesting chats with other guests at the dining table. All in all it was a wonderful experience and very relaxed. Highly recommended!

I came here with my daughter for peace and quite and that is exactly what we got. loved it. so quite and relaxing. best sleep in months. I would suggest this place to anyone. mariana and her husband were wonderful and she is an awesome cook. she even taught us how to cook scones and stew.

Estancia Los Platonos is the ideal destination to relax, learn about life in the Uruguayan countryside, and eat great local food. Andres and Marina are perfect hosts. Despite Marina’s ability to speak English, she humored my stumbling Spanish communication and we enjoyed a number of chats. Andres took me on a two and a half hour horse ride around the property and I was able to indulge my guacho on the range fantasy. The food is exceptional and hearty. I highly recommend ELP for individuals, couples, and families. I will be back.

We felt "at home" from the moment Marina, Pancho and Lola welcomed us at the gate. Marina and Andres are great hosts, good company and shared a wealth of information with us. Beautiful evening rides across the estancia with Andres, who can identify a huge number of birds and knows the whereabouts of all wildlife and returning home to fabulous home cooking, lovely warm people and the best cheese scones for breakfast im ever likely to eat. We really hope to return.

Location: in the middle of nowhere, but surrounded by animals like Angus cows, horses, dogs and cats. You can only get there by car. Room: The farmhouse has 2 old-fashioned decorated bedrooms to offer, therefore the hosts are fully focussed on your needs and desires. The room is equipped with a water heater and a minifridge. For the cold nights they placed a heater in the room. The bathroom was very smelly but at least they had warm water. Food: I booked full pension and therefore had 3 meals a day. Every menu Marina cooked was absolutely delicious and it always ended with an amazing dessert. Program: I went 2x horseback riding (for beginners) with Andres and took a cooking class with Marina. But the cooking class was me watching her cooking. I would have preferred to do it myself to really get the hang of it. They also offered tracking tours but I decided to relax in the saloon in front of a fireplace. If you love animals and being out in nature -＞ this is a MUST to go place.

this is the place to go for relaxing. do not go here for shopping or late nights. go here for quiet reading by the fire and home cooked meals. my daughter and I were here for 2 days and it was perfect. mariana showed us how to cook and the food she prepared was perfect. so relaxing.

Disfrutamos de un maravilloso fin de semana largo en familia en la estancia. Siempre es un placer regresar a este lugar. Queremos agradecer sinceramente a Marina y Andrés por su cálida hospitalidad. La piscina estaba a la temperatura ideal, lo que hizo que nuestra estadía fuera aún más placentera. La comida estuvo deliciosa como siempre, y además, apreciamos mucho que tuvieran en cuenta nuestras restricciones alimentarias. Nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos y atendidos de manera especial. Logramos conectar con la naturaleza y descansar plenamente.

Un verdadero oasis que ofrece una experiencia perfecta. Despues de un dia de ruta bajo la lluvia, llegas a la estancia que es muy cercana a la carretera principal y te reciben cordialmente (incluyendo la piscina para descansar). Las habitaciones con gran personalidad y la cena y desayuno deliciosos y con sabor local. Si esto no es poco la zona es muy bonita y cargada de historia.

Una experiencia sublime!!! La estancia conjuga un ambiente familiar con la comodidad y calidez de sus anfitriones. Los sabores caseros le dan el toque único. Sin dudas súper recomendable para lograr un desenchufe por completo. Animense a visitarla!
