Dwivedi Hotels Palace on Steps offers a mixed experience. The room was basic but stuffy and smelly, with unpleasant odors from the area below the windows. The hotel is slightly dated, yet the staff was friendly and helpful.
The location is fantastic, close to Dashashwamedh Ghat, where you can enjoy a vibrant evening ceremony. The view from the room overlooking the river is breathtaking. Highly recommend dining at Aadha-Aadha Café for clean, tasty, and affordable meals. The rooftop ambiance is lovely. Mona Lisa Café is another great nearby option. Overall, a good stay for its location and views, despite minor issues.
The property was a bit difficult to locate at first, as the pathway was meandering through various narrow lanes of varanashi. But on reaching the place, found the property to be quite good. Got a free upgrade of rooms as our booked room was under maintenance. The room was decently sized, well maintained. Bathroom was nice and clean. What stole the show was the ganga views. The hotel is situated right on the ghat, and you get great views from window as well as the adjacent common balcony. Room service and support staffs were good. Food was decent.
Hotel was the best near Jangamvadi road. It is located in a prime location close to Kashi Vishwanath temple, Lahiri Mahasaya house, ghats, great shops nearby, great street foods etc. But the hotel is having great spacious rooms, clean and with good staffs around who are supportive. Restaurant is attached. Only problem was that because of high number of visitors during Maha Kumbh festival, the varieties on food were not enough.
NNandiniSimply Wow!
My family and I stayed at this gorgeous place for over a week and enjoyed our stay. The owner, Mr. Abhinav Singh, personally takes care of every need of the tourists and goes the extra mile to make sure that the tourists are comfortable and are having a pleasant experience. The property is very immaculate, and all the famous places in Varanasi are nearby.
Mr. Abhinav Singh helped us organize our amazing trip to Varanasi, and also our awesome journey to Ayodhya Dham and Vidhyavasini Dham Shaktipeeth. The staff and drivers are always willing to help with a pleasant smile on their faces, they all are very kind, cooperative, respectful and warm people.
I recommend this Hotel Golden Lotus Varanasi to everyone. I am grateful to Mr. Singh, all the drivers and the staff. Many blessings to all.
ゲゲストThe hotel has locational advantage as temple, food, shopping all are accessible for within radius of 500 mtrs. Deluxe room is very spacious, rooms are clean with 24 hrs hot water. They are extending the kitchen so the guests will get food also in the hotel. Though the name sound like guest house, it's decent hotel
BBartZelfNice place to stay in the bustling city of Varanasi, hotel is clean and all necessary amenities provide an excellent place to take a rest from the city that is pretty crazy. It is about four kilometers from the river Ganges. Breakfast is fine but not very extended, meals for dinner were good price wise.
The only issue we had was the way too loud noise of the air ventilation in the shower that took a lot of drama before it was turned off, a request that I had to repeat three out of four nights. Overall I would recommend this place though, it's professional and decent and an oasis compared to what you'll encounter once you get onto the streets.
ゲゲストUpgraded to a larger balcony room overlooking the buzzy street filled with pilgrims, sadhus, vendors, cows, monkeys etc a mere 200 m from Dashashweme Ghat we extended for teo further days .- 6 nights total. The street quieted overnight and we had no trouble sleeping.
Our host and family provided attentive service and good food, much appreciated after our trip and myself arriving a bit under the weather.
Rooms are spotless, modern ( updated recently?) with attractive decor. Very good value!
