This property can only be described as…broken. Everything had something wrong with it - the door handle to the bathroom broke so my travel buddy and I had to have the door wide open at all times, plug sockets hanging out of the walls, toilet doesn’t flush properly etc etc. This just made the whole experience of the room pretty rubbish. We weren’t greeted by anyone which we didn’t really mind but with the state of the room I wasn’t surprised that we never saw the owner to be honest. It’s such a shame too because the room is in such a brilliant location. If you’re looking for somewhere just to sleep and don’t care about a good quality of room then this is fine but I wish I had listened to the previous reviews on this one and rethought my booking.

I don’t know where to start with Dreaming Arena Rooms. Let me start with the relatively few positives. It was cheap. It was in a good location (close to the castle) and the wifi was good. That’s it for the positives! Now the negatives. Where do I start? There was nobody to greet me when I arrived but the owners did keep in touch via WhatsApp. The only time I met the owner was 5 minutes before leaving when she came to collect payment. She didn’t even ask if everything was ok. She no doubt knew what the answer would be. My room was dark and basic (very basic) and in the eaves with a very small window at shin level. No breakfast was provided but I knew that already. Only one thin bedsheet (thankfully clean) was provided (no extra blankets) and there was no heating on the first night. I was freezing! The television didn’t work, the wall lamp was hanging from the wall and there was no waste bin. I kind of knew what to expect but this is the worst place I’ve ever stayed on my long travels! I suppose that sometimes you get what you pay for if not less! Dreaming Arena? Dream on!
