スティール コテージ(Steele Cottage)

Helpful, friendly owners as the original room was unsuitable, but they found us a good alternative. They are now aware of the need to clarify their advertisement as 1 room in Steele Cottage does have a separate bathroom, BUT it is not en suite and you have to go across the corridor to it. Room is also quite small and stuffy, but the rest of the facilities are OK. Good breakfasts provided around large tables, so a chance to chat to others and an interesting tour of the main accommodation provided free

Absolutely fantastic! Located in the heart of historic Vicksburg, Steele's Cottage is charming and filled with history -- truly a walk back into the last century. If only walls could talk! It is also only about a 5-minute drive to the National Historic Military Park, which is well worth a visit. Vicksburg was everything a civil war history geek like myself could hope for! The room was immaculate and filled with historical tidbits! The property manager (Tonya) was excellent and beyond helpful when a problem about reservation dates went cross-ways. (Totally my fault -- I entered them wrong). Breakfast was delicious, and served in the beautiful Duff Green mansion. The tour of that historic home afterward was very interesting! We enjoyed ourselves so much that we extended our stay another day, and will not hesitate to return and/or recommend to others.

Very comfortable and well attended by manager. For history buffs the city and cottage is a gold mine of antebellum living. Be sure to enjoy the breakfast at the Duff Green mansion and to tour the battlefield memorial.

We spent a very comfortable three days at Steele Cottage for the BTS event. Guest rooms were well appointed and we enjoyed HH in the cozy living area! Loved the delicious breakfasts at Duff Green and enjoyed dinner across the street one night at Walnut Hills. Thank you for your hospitality!!

We’ll kept up and very historically homey. You do have a very large bathroom outside the bedroom for the Swords room. The other two rooms have en-suite bathrooms.

Wonderful stay with an excellent restaurant right across the street. The cottage is quaint, clean and cozy. Very quiet neighborhood. The fact that the cottage is not perfect and brand new adds to the charm and historical character.

This was an amazing experience-beautiful home and room in an historical house. The included breakfast that was hosted in a wonderful mansion several blocks away was incredible, as was the tour afterwards.

Amazing! Such a cute cottage. Stayed at Steele cottage. Breakfast was amazing and it was at Duff mansion. 10 out of 10!

Friendly hosts, beautiful room and house. They have a coffeemaker and mini fridge in the common space, which is nice if you have leftovers from dining in town. Stay includes breakfast at Duff Green Mansion and a tour, so if you're a history buff like me, very cool!
